I go every year to a horse expo trade show. over 800 booths to buy anything your hearts desire for you . home. barn. horse. dog. cats. cows. pig. chickens, and goats.. the amazing part is all the clinics every day.. Look up equine affair on the internet for massachusettes. there is a clinic in all the buildings all day covering anything you can image. from birthing to dying and and hooves. and driving.. i got dizzy.. the best part for me is meeting up with my idol ( and they really have to be to my liking) Guy McLean.. i searched him out and got a photo of him and his horse and me.. and what a gentleman.. a real polite easy talking person who truley loves his horses and knows exactly what to say and not say anything stupid.

What is amazing is that he works alone, no one passing him stuff. or holding the horse. and he did not work in a round pen. he had the entire coleseum to use and if that horses ,a freisan, wanted to drag him around he could have.. Guy started working this horse while he was riding his own. and allowed the freisan space and time to understand what was expected. hands on. move over. and come. and than the ropes and saddling were done so if there was any bucking. (there were a few kick outs and buck) it was done cause that is what a horse does when all that stuff is new. I watched him for the entire hour and a half and was not bored one bit.. so google Guy McLean and look for him on you tube , and if you have a chance to see him please go.. oh and he also has a demo of him riding his horse and 4 are at liberty one lies down the other 3 straddle the one on the ground.. now how trusting is that.??

I have been wanting to go to the equine affair here in mass for years, it's about 2 hours from me. Sounds like you had a wonderful time, that's great that you got a picture with him while you were there too! I was watching some videos of him on Facebook that people had posted from there, I would've loved to have seen it in person though. Do they have a lot of horses on exhibit? I can't wait to go someday

So glad you had a fun time. I would like to get there one day, as well as the Rolex and now the WEG at Tryon in 2018!

Some people just have that gift. I would like someone to teach me all that stuff.
