LD - I truly believe you will ultimately feel better once everything is out in the open. Not sure what is going on in your situation but I was contemplating divorcing my now ex-husband for weeks. I was so scared of what my family would think but once I talked with them and then brought the subject up with the ex, I felt like a huge rock was lifted off my shoulders.
