How wonderful that the 3 of you got to ride together! Sounds like it was a fun day. I can't wait to hear how things go on Wednesday when she gets to meet your new "big dog"

Yes my phone does video. I will tell her mom to get her camera out. I will be to busy with Billie...She had a list that she made in school last year and on her list was I want a baby horse to love...My daughter showed it to me...I'll get a pic of it.. Yes tomorrow. We are leaving here around 6am. Since it's a 5 1/2 hr drive...Will take my camera with me. New scenery.. Headed to northern MO.. ROAD TRIP!!! lol
Billie had a tad of a meltdown this morning. Jessi thinks that after she rode yesterday that she wanted to call her dad and tell him. Well that's not possible since he passed. So Lint had a little talk with her this afternoon. He told her that he still misses his dad. That all she has to do is talk to him and tell him, that he is watching over her from heaven and he will hear what she says.
Then she went into the equipment barn and told Lint that she will feed the big dog and clean his pen out. But she wasn't going to go into it with him cause he may jump on her...Gotta love her...Then she said why are you taking the trailer. Lint told her he's a big dog and he won't fit in the back seat of the truck. She was like OK.....

Bless her heart, tell her to put her thoughts and wishes in a journal every day, and she can have those memories forever, and she can also write to her dad and tell him things she would like him to know

 That's a good idea Jo.. We will have to do that.... Then I get a message from my son that he is getting a divorce. I think he has finally realized that she is the root of most of his problems and his daughters. Personally I can't stand her, she is one bi polar biatch. He had just bought 5 acres and lost it because she didn't make the payments. He is on the road all week with his semi. This was the first Christmas that he spent with me in over 10yrs. Had both kids here. It was good. but there was that coldness in the room with her here and of course she had to start her drama. My son was pissed. I kind of ignored it because we didn't want a big knock down drag out. But he knew I wasn't happy and it really pissed him off that she did it. I told him that it was ok we dealt with it because of him, BUT if she had of even said one word to me. I think all hell would have broke out. But she's knows I have a permit that allows me to shoot someone that threatens me in my house. Believe me I don't think I could ever kill some one. But she would be the one exception.... She is the main reason my son and I fell out years ago. But now he is seeing that it wasn't me. He has 3 kids from a previous marriage and he couldn't have a relationship with them because they didn't want to be around her. She did things to them when they were little and they told him but of course she made the kids out to be the bad guys.. My daughter Jessi won't take the drama either and has told him in the past. He kind of told her why do you and mom get along so well. She flat out told him that we always have that his wife is one reason our relationship feel apart. Here I moved to MO to get away from drama. The daughter they have told him after she pulled her act that she wanted to come live with us. So now he's trying to figure out what to do with her while he's on the road. He did say that Tn. has internet schooling. So he may just take her out with him and do that. I told him that I don't have the patience to deal with a kid full time. Meaning no she can't live with us... At least he understands that... So we'll see....One thing I know I like my freedom and I will keep it....

Eeeps Mingiz...when it rains it pours. Hope it is starting to settle down some and some decisions are being made to benefit your sons child... that does not mean you raise her either...that is a issue her parents need to address, not you and Lint! I haven't seen or I missed the update to "the big dog"...has he come home yet or at all???  If arrived where is the link so I can see, read and hoot in glee for your grand-daughter.... |

Sorry to hear about your son getting divorced, but it sounds like that might end up being a blessing in disguise if his wife has been such a negative influence with his kids and in your family.

My son knows I'm not going to raise a kid. I don't think I could handle her without killing her. If ya know what I mean...I never met the kid until she was 8.Most of her issues were caused by her mother... I don't need any issues in my home. I'm happy that he finally woke up and now sees that she has caused hate and discontent for years now. I think he has realized that his family cares but yet won't put up with crap...She tried to alienate him from us. Maybe now he will be part of the family again for the right reasons....We'll see. But believe me, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it..

Boy, and I thought this thread was about riding horses, who knew?! Sorry for the drama, ish, we have similar issues, guess it goes with being a human being... to bad.
Anyway, what a really nice treat to ride with your family. What a cutie patootie your grand daughter is and so considerate too. There is sunshine enough right there
