Funny,, if a horse can get into trouble they will find it... looks like fence rails to me. by the looks of the distance of the two on his tail...

See, I would agree that it is fence rails but our fences are green. I will pay attention tomorrow when I go out to see if I can find out where it may have come from. Not a big deal anyway. It pretty much brushed right out.

The mystery was solved today. The owner of another horse in Beau's paddock put poultice on her horse who got it in his tail and flung it all over everything and everyone! I should have known it wasn't paint as it cleaned up so easily with a bit of a curry. He also does a semi-impression of an appy. Although he has no white on his legs, all four hooves are light colored with some striping and the skin just inside his mouth is mottled. I was curious and looked at the Appy Assn website but the mottled skin needs to be elsewhere and of course he doesn't have the white sclera. Not that I really thought he was a "hidden" appy - he is a papered Dutch Warmblood. I just thought it was kind of funny and maybe gives me something to blame when he acts like a dork. mini-graphics-smileys-824246 Does anyone else have an equine that does "impressions"?

Ahem! And Peaches and Penny??? Lol Actually I'd have to say Peaches and I are the same level of dorkiness but Penny is more the prima donna.

Didn't realize Penny was an appy. As for Peaches....LOL - she seems more appy-listic to me. Not a bad thing, just the way they are. But I will admit that beyond the dorkiness, they are extremely intelligent horses and I do admire that about them.
