Well don't know if I'm crazy or what. But I just bought a pony. It's for my youngest grand daughter.. I found it on Craigslist. It's about 5 hrs north of us. So will be making a trip soon. She is a sorrel with flaxen mane/tail. She drives and rides... Bought it basically sight un seen...Probably go next week to get it. It will be a total surprise for my grand daughter Billie Jo. She loves Reno and helps Lint everyday with evening feeding no matter what the weather is. She is 8.. Lint's right hand cowgirl.

the table and chairs are real nice and are the prints signed.? they are great finds. how big is the pony? i have a blue nylon mesh type bridle, i think it has a curb bit, it was way to small for my Daisy that was about 13 hands. she had a big head.
i will did it out tomorrow if you want it. for your grandaughter and her new pony

Google those names and see how popular they are as for the harness and cart. i only have mini up to 8 hands and will be way to small for the pony when you are ready a man nearby sells leather harness for about 150.00 but put your own ad on craigs list in your area. you never know what people will have ready to get rid of.
as for cost. just pm your addy again. hope you like lite blue.

What an awesome grandma you are!!!!! That pony is absolutely adorable, and I'm sure your granddaughter is going to love her! I would ask the sellers if they would be willing to sell you the pony's saddle, bridle, etc., too. It never hurts to ask.
I love your new dining room table and chairs! Nate and I have wanted one like that for years, but we always seem to come up with one excuse after another why now isn't the best time to spend the money, and why we should just continue to use the dining room table, chairs and hutch we bought for at a garage sale for $100 20 years ago! lol One of these days I hope to have a big, beautiful table and chairs like that. Enjoy!

Thanks Terry..I lucked out on that table...I have wanted one like that for years.... I asked the girl about the saddle but she didn't want to sell it. We are looking at Chicks. They have some good deals on saddle packages. Jo her favorite colors are blue and pink..Do you have a 4in snaffle bit? Send it if you do and I will send you some dollars to cover things...So that will be great!! I have been looking on CL for things but no harness. May have to send you some $ and let you pick one up for me...That price is great...But I won't worry about that until I find a cart.. We are going this Wednesday to get Pony. Billie Jo thinks were getting a big dog names Pony...lol That's what her mom told her. By the time we get back it will be dark so I'm going to put her in the equipment barn for the night. I have some gates I can make a temporary stall with. In the morning when she goes to school it's dark out so maybe the pony won't make any nicker sounds and she won't see it until she gets home from school. She will be a happy happy happy cowgirl....Tomorrow she wants to ride Reno. So we may saddle up Rawhide and JR and let her ride the farm...She listens to me when I tell her to do things. So she may even get to go camping with us this year..We will take her when were not meeting a group.. I looked up the 2 prints I got and the one by scroggins is a 125.00 print and the other by McBride is 95.00. So I guess we did pretty good on sales yesterday....

I showed Nate the picture of your new pony and told him the story about how you guys are going to surprise your granddaughter with her. Every time I've even jokingly mentioned the idea of getting a little pony for our granddaughters, he has always shot me down, either telling me that our restrictions only allow us to have 2 horses (true), or how we already own a pony (Sis) (again, technically true - she is only 14.1h), but after he saw the picture of your little cutie and heard the story tonight he said, "You know, our restrictions say we can only have 2 "horses", it doesn't say anything about not being able to add a little tiny pony to the herd!" I think you may be helping me to crack him! lol

How I missed this have no idea but the pony is adorable and the table and chairs are very nice. Love the color of both recent purchases. I suggest a "Pine Furniture Store" if you are interested in buying new...they usually have oak {what your set looks like} or try the secondhand stores and consignment places for gently used. I have a dining room set took me 5 years to find...when I bought mine everything was dark, dark, dark colors and distressed appearance to the wood. No matter where I looked that was all I could find till I stumbled into "Pine/All Wood Furniture Stores". Hope you have better luck than I did and that the "in-style" has changed so lots of choices for you to have. Chicks is great for "saddle outfits". There stuff although not "named" super quality is safe, serviceable and will give years of service quality at good prices. I don't think I have ever been disappointed in anything I purchased from them....the items were as they were described and priced accordingly I felt. Happy shopping for all your new items. Ohhh...don't forget some new pictures of your grand-daughter riding her new pony....can't wait to see her smile from ear to ear!!

Great pics! It's always interesting to see other areas of North America. I have ideas in my head of what different areas are like but I know I'm wrong. I can't wait to see pictures of the 'big reveal'!

Yes we will gang up on him... hmmm He definitely has a soft heart, especially when it comes to his girls (whether that is me, our daughter, or our 2 adorable granddaughters )! I think at some point he just might give in, and I definitely think seeing pics of your happy kid on/with her adorable new pony will help! Yes, let's gang up on him! LOL
Our oldest granddaughter, Megan, loves our horses, in fact one of her first words was "Zena"! For the longest time she called every horse she saw "Zena". It was so cute!! I got to give her her first lead line pony ride on Sis on my birthday a couple years ago. She was in 7th heaven (and so was I)! I'd love something smaller that I could teach her to ride on.
Our youngest granddaughter, Kaci, loves to see the horses from a distance, but up close she finds them to be very big and scary, but I took both of them down to my neighbor's house last summer to see my neighbor's little pony and she found that one to be much easier to be close to since it was more her size. Considering what a little cowgirl she is with the little bouncy horse I bought for them (she can ride that thing ALL DAY!! ), I think once she gets a little older (she's only 2 right now), I'm going to have a hard time keeping her off our horses!
Have fun shopping for cute little pony tack! I can't wait to see pics and video and hear all about how the big reveal goes today!!!
