So how is everyone making out during this freeze spell?
We have been in the minus temps all week. We are suppose to get more
/ice today. Hope it holds off, Lint has an appt. at the VA which is 40 miles away. Don't even know what the main roads are like. They don't clear them here like they did back east.
We have been lucky and nothing has froze up in the house. The out side spigots did. So we had to bring the hoses in and out them in the bath tub to thaw out. Lint got tired of toting water buckets. My horses even as cold as it is drink a lot. They are doing good.
The pellet stove crapped out. We are waiting for the part to come in. Sure miss it. I hate burning up the propane. We had a B-day party Monday eve. for my grand daughter. A big 14..
I was thinking about a lady that I worked for when I lived in Puerto Rico (79-81). She lives in MO. So I had an address but no phone number. So I got on the internet and found the phone number. I called her yesterday and she answered the phone. I said "is this Bobbie" and she was like yes. I said well I found you again. Then there was a bit of quiet. Then I told her my name and she still wasn't getting it. Then I said I worked in the ceramics shop with you. Then she was like OMG. So we chatted for awhile. She had cancer and is in remission, but is in a wheel chair because of arthritis. She kind a filled me in on her kids. So I told her that after this weather gets better. That I want to go visit her. She was all for that. She is in Northern Missouri about 2hrs north of St. Louis. Which is about a 5 1/2 hr drive for us. I can't wait to go see her. Her and her hubby are neat people. He was an officer in the Navy. He taught me how to macramé. She taught me how to do ceramics and porcelain. We use to have a great time in PR.
Other than that. We are just staying warm. We are suppose to get rain Friday. So we go from frozen ground to a mud bog. Suppose to be 50 for the weekend. I say bring it on...!!!
