Rocking them for two weeks at the start, talking to them one on one and setting with them while they eat telling them to eat from their own dish pays off in my opinion. I hold the catch strap and set beside them from the time they start eating pellets. With five I do have to feed in order of how fast they eat because the first one done will look to see if they can steal from one that is not done. When one starts to look away from their dish I call their name and say back to your own dish. When it don't work I quickly step in and set beside them lay my hand on their neck and talk to them. Now I get them eating and then step out to get hay for them. They start to understand some conversation just like your house dog will.
