A very talented friend that I met through the other forum makes carousel horses out of old bouncy horses. I had seen pictures she had posted on Facebook of some custom carousel horses that she had done and they were amazing, so I asked her about them. She said she would be happy to make custom carousel horses for me if I was interested, so after clearing the cost with my hubby, I took tons of pictures of my horses from every possible angle, shared them with her, and she made carousel horses for me that look like my horses! I couldn't be more please with how they turned out. What do you think?
This is my POA, Sis

Here are both carousel horses set up in my game room.

They're beautiful! I posted about this yesterday in another thread and hadn't seen this thread yet. I'd heard about making these but hadn't seen one finished. Now I want to make one even more!

Here is a picture of the bouncy horse that I bought at a garage sale for my granddaughters to play on. This one has the "real hair" mane and tail, unlike my carousel horses which have plastic manes and tails (I specifically asked for plastic manes and tails for my carousel horses - just my personal preference).
My friend finds old bouncy horses like this for sale at garage sales or wherever, takes them off their base, removes the poles and handle bars that run through them, uses something (I have no idea what) to patch over the holes from those bars, drills a new hole through the center of the horse for the carousel pole to go through, puts a primer coat on the horse, and then paints it up any way she or the customer wants. I obviously wanted the ones I commissioned to look like my actual horses, so that's what she did. She really did a fantastic job on them!

I am going to find some of those around here and do them. i knew Susan did them but lost track of her she probably used a fiberglass bondo like they use at body shops to fill in dents on cars
your carousel horses are awesome.
