I have a boarder who has a 15 year old qh and she wants to put him on a arthritis supplement.. anyone have any suggestions.?/ he was trimmed today by the farrier and apparently his left front hoof . foot and lower area below the pastern is a tad out to the side and he is showing signs of stiffness.. we all feel he might do well with something .

I have had friends that have had a lot of success with Recovery Eq. I have not used it personally though, and it is expensive. Intersted to see what others suggest as well. Could be a great learning opportunity

I used to be able to tell you exactly what the better products are but I haven't had to worry about that for several years and I can't remember. There might be new products out now, too. I do remember looking up several brands and trying to find one with the highest percentage of glucosamine and MSM and some brands have quite a bit less of a concentration than others. I also gave him oral hyaluoronic acid but my understanding is that the oral isn't as good as the injections. I'll be interested to see what other people say as I should probably put Prince on something as a preventative one of these days.
