With early tests on Wed and Thur. I did morning chores after I got home which was closer to noon. All of the horses were eager to be fed which was what I expected as when I am two hours late on some weekends they act that way. On Thur. When I feed the four in the new shelter I set beside of Sparky behind the other three to make sure he is able to eat without being pushed away by the others. I put feed in Sparky's dish and set down beside him. He took a bite and pushed his head in my chest. I gave him a hug and he didn't move back to get another bite until I tapped on his dish. I did this three times and then he wouldn't take another bite. He just wanted to stand with his head against my chest. I wish I knew what he was thinking. He was fine and acted normal last evening when I fed. He seemed to just want loved on at the late feeding.

He was telling you it will be ok. he probably smelled a new smell on you from the tests and was trying to let you know that something was different. and having breakfast late or skipping for one time will not hurt them. just makes them eager to eat the next meal.
he loves you

That's so sweet. I agree with HL, I think he may have noticed you were "out of sorts".

Those types of tests never work me up. The only thing that bothers me about the tests is the time it takes up that I need to be doing something else. I almost went to sleep in the MRI tube yesterday morning. 25 minutes of extra rest. That was the fourth one I have had. I just hope they find something that will make a difference which I doubt after reading all I could find on my problems. If I don't set down with Sparky right away after dumping his feed in his dish on a normal feeding time he takes a bit and comes to where I am at before going back for another bite. Spoiled was what came to mind and his feelings being hurt. About like Rusty dog and Dixie. they both whine until they get their morning and petted.
Pearl is also not happy with not getting only a sprinkle of pellets. I took her out of the lot with the other mares she has been with as long as I had her. I shut Dollie and Prancer in a shelter until they are done eating with Pearl getting hay. She keeps poking her nose up wanting to give me a kiss on the cheek while the others are eating. Her way of begging.
