We met up with our friend Sharon. Had a good ride until we hit a tree down and had to bush wack around it. Somehow when I grabbed a limb. My pinky finger got stuck in a fork in the branch. Thank God Sugar stopped and backed up or I would of re broken my pinky.
Sugar did great.  She got a little antsy when the other two got ahead and she wanted to be with them. She pitched a little fit and did a little rear. But that was the worst she did. She spooked at the trail head sign going back in. So I made her go up to the sign. She did. All in all she was great for my first real trail ride on her.
Rawhide did well also. So next week when I go back to Slab Town I'm taking Sugar. So that will be a challenge with a bigger group and they like to gait out. Didn't really get to gait her as there was to much rock. So here is the link for the pics.

You always show us and take us on your journey,, such fun and the horses look comfy and relaxed. and i am sure sugar will be fine. just needs miles.  |

She will surely get some next weekend when I go back to Slab Town. But I need to remind my self to take drugs before I ride!! Sore from today.  |

Nice pictures, as always. I'm glad you finally had a chance to take Sugar out on a trail ride, and that she did so well for you.

I think sugar is beautiful and love seeing pics of her rider as well! Not old and fat!!!! You are one of the most active people I know. So glad she did well on her first trail ride - it has been a long time coming.

She is such a pretty mare. I'm glad to hear that she was so good. I hope she works out for you in Slabtown too.

She can stay as long as she does well. If not for sale. I have 2 others I can ride. JR is a pasture puff now. The water crossing. She loves to paw in it. But I wouldn't let her do it for long as I didn't want to take the chance of her laying down. If she ruined my camera I'd surely be pissed. She does go along on a loose rein nicely. |
