I tried to get side pictures but he didn't cooperate. He is starting to change colors on his head.

Sparky soon to be six months old on the left and his mother on the right. As soon as I get the new shelter done Sparky will get weaned.

I always miss the good chances for good pictures. I took this one this morning. I had Prancer in the house last evening to see Dixie. He was not sure it was where he wanted to be. I didn't take pictures as I wish I had after he was back with Dollie. Dollie wanted to give me a kiss after Prancer was back in with her. I held and rocked Dollie as all the others that were born here. It makes a difference. Well when the foal is small enough!  Prancer is just three days past three months old.

I love love minis. They are like horses but small in size, I am sure they don't think they are that small though :-)

I love love minis. They are like horses but small in size, I am sure they don't think they are that small though :-) I don't know how large they think they are but they do think. They have the heard mentality as the large horses do with all the fear instincts to deal with. By taking time to talk to and touch each of the 14 minis I have twice a day I get reactions from time to time that signify their ability to think thru situations. I weaned Sparky and put him in with the other three at the new shelter and set with them morning and evening to make sure they stay at their own dish while eating as well as make sure they do not push Sparky away before he is done. If I set back away Dandy checks out Patches dish by pushing him out then Patches goes over and pushes Thunder out so he switches to Dandy's dish. If I set between Dandy and Thunder they all clean up their feed before looking around.
I'll try to get a picture of the shelter. It is done as much as I will do to it anymore this year. I still need to finish up the gate on the right side. I have to hinge it at the fence.
