Going here Friday for a day ride. It's one of Missouri's better camp grounds. It's only 25 miles from the house. Best of America By Horse Back has filmed there. I use to ride with Tom Seay back in VA. I rode in the very first show he aired at Graves Mountain. My avatar is from that day. Will get pics. Thinking of wearing the go pro also.

My trip to Shawnee isn't going to happen this year. Bummer but I will next year. Going to Slabtown the 24th and I want to get in a weekend at Pinecrest again..

Looks to be a great place to have some relax time with family and horses. and the go pro sounds like a good idea even if for only a few minutes.

WOW! That place looks incredible. And to be so close to home? I'd be there every weekend I could get out! Have a fun and safe time.

We aren't camping there. Just doing a day ride to check it out.
Today I finally rode Sugar. For being off for 11 months. She did great!!! She has the nicest gait. I told Tony I could ride that gait all day long. She never spooked but she was attentive with everything. She did spook at an old piece of fencing piled up. But all she did was plant. I asked her to go on and she did. Now I want to take her out on a trail ride and see how she does. I feel funny riding her. I'm so use to JR and Reno with their long necks. Short posted pics and videos on FB. I hate pics. Cause I'm so fat and hunch back looking. I have a friend here that is interested in buying her. I did put her out there. But if I ride her more. I may really like her. Look out Reno!! I am totally comfy on her. She has a nice easy gait and you don't even need to keep contact in her mouth. She did fuss a little over the bit. I just threw Reno's bridle on her. I had to direct rein her but that's ok too. Neck reining will come with trail riding.
Oh and this weekend we are going to start the new/used run in shed. :DIt will be 20x24. I have a guy that is going to help us get the post in, the framing done and the roof. I will do it as I can afford to buy the tin for it. I thought about using wood on the sides but then that is extra maintenance so we'll go with the red tin and a galvanized metal roof. Will take pics on the progress.

Yes, dont rush into selling her, I like her, she looks sweet, give her a bit of time, if you like her already it speaks volumes:)

I know!!! I was expecting the worst. I'm going to take her over to the back bone and do a good trail ride and see how she does. There are good areas for going down and up plus the river. So that will tell me if she is worth keeping.
