This is Reno at the top of Kennedy's peak At Fort Valley Va. Our first mountain ride.  This is him now..  This was my main ride until he blew his stifle. That's when Reno took over. The dark grey dapples do have a tendency to turn gray, my mare did ,too.
they are a bunch of nice looking fur babies you have there .

The dark grey dapples do have a tendency to turn gray, my mare did ,too. they are a bunch of nice looking fur babies you have there . I bought him because I liked the steel grey look. I don't like grey's...He was about 300 lbs under weight and no muscle tone when I got him as a 3yro. He's 7 now. This horse has never refused anything I have tried with him. Well except a boat sitting on a power line. I guess the way the sun was hitting it was it. But it was the first time this horse tensed up so tight that I thought here we go. But he trusted me and went step by step until his nose was on it, Then it was like oh ok...He acts up every once in awhile and that is only because his buddy has gone on. But nothing that would get you hurt. I have had from 3yrs old to 80 ride him. I have been offered 5k for him and at the time I really could have used it.(LQ life) He is worth his weight in gold. I know a good thing when I have it.. My youngest granddaughter wants to ride him by herself of course. So one day when I have the time. I will put her on him and take her out on the farm for a ride. JR is still ride able but he has gotten buddy sour. I can do the flat with him but big hills scare me. But you watch him in the field and think hmmm. So he will be a handful but when his head is right. He's a caddy...Shame the stifle blew. But he will have a forever home as long as I have the say so... |
