It popped up on Facebook as a memory. I though it might be of interest.

So cute. Looks like they have a lot of land to roam on! Almost 9 acres here at the house. I don't have any fence at the farm 15 miles North. Several years back we removed all the fences and made one field out of the South side of the creek. One field and 20 acres of woods on the North side that boarders the Ohio Turn Pike three miles from the Indiana line. Keep thinking of building a barn and fence. Old men dream but are not able to follow thru.

Should had gave their names. As the stand front to back is Pearl, Baby, Coco and Nemo our little stud scratching his neck. I have Nemo's papers but he was kind of a rescue horse. When I looked at him I didn't think he would live. The lady that had him had other horses with all being gone except for Nemo and one other quarter horse. She had a teenage daughter and her husband had run off with another woman. I told her I guess I would pass when Dixie called me over to the car. She pointed out Nemo's straight back and good features. His ribs and back bone were showing bad. I told her I didn't think I could bring him back without a lot of vet bills. With Dixie's insistence and the need for the other horse needing feed I gave her 200 dollars and brought him home. I wormed him and kept him in the trailer for two weeks with plenty of hay and sweet feed twice a day. After two weeks he had started to look a little better and we had the vet give him his shots and look him over. We are glad we did as he gives good looking foal. His disposition is always calm and he gets along with other horses without having the normal stud acting deal when moving horses around.
