I hate to throw away perfectly good stuff, and I usually try to update, redo, and reuse things when, and where, I can. I had 2 older, director style chairs, that had belonged to my parents from when they owned their boat. I'd held on to them, hoping to find new covers, and use them again somewhere, maybe in my barn, or for my horsey endeavors, camping, etc. Well, I found a company online that sold new covers, and I ordered 2 sets, and had them embroidered with our farm name. They really turned out great and I wanted to show them off. Pictures to follow,., as I guess I need to resize for the IPad,.., grumble,.., bear with me

I couldn't bring myself to throw them away HL4L Luckily, a little internet search revealed that a lot of people still like and use these, so they still make covers for them. The monogram company really did a great job with the embroidery too

They turned out beautiful! Very nice.
I've done the same with a few chairs, and very happy to have them. Do you know with upholstered chairs, all you need to do is carefully remove the existing fabric and use it as a pattern for the new fabric? I take pictures while taking it apart, and just put it all back together the same way. It works pretty well.
I love the logo and stitching, they did a nice job.

I would rather redo. re cover, or repaint a memory than throw it out, they look wonderful and comfortable and useful.

I'm the exact same HL It's hard for me to part with certain things, so I try to find another purpose for them. Hubby and I 'repurposed' a antique marble top bath stand, into my upstairs bathroom cabinetry, and I absolutely LOVE it!! I also 'wanted' a daybed for my downstairs guest room (no one ever stays here), so I took the 2 antique twin bed frames that had belonged to my MIL, used the foot board ends, and created my daybed. It looks awesome, altho its not quite finished yet. Maybe I'm just cheap,.., and sentimental

Then count me in, I'm cheap and sentimental too.
Besides the old stuff is way better quality. Unless you make it yourself. My daughter surprised me when she sent me a picture of a bedroom set she decided to make, gorgeous!
