So a short time ago Burke had a tiny scab on his cheek, you know the type just a little piece of hair felt crusty but it didnt bother him so I thought nothing much of it.
Well last week sometime(hes an outdoor cat)he came for food and I noticed there was a round patch where the scab had been and all the hair had fallen off, I looked closely there was a tiny pin prick dot and I mean tiny, no swelling and on pressing he didnt care, eating ok so I thought ok its fine hair will grow back thats all but I took him down to kennels just so I could keep a close eye on him.
Friday it looked the same then monday when I looked at it, wow, a big black circle like bruising so of course its a long weekend so tuesday morning I called and made appt to take him in wed morning.
Well tuesday afternoon after carpet fitters left I went to kennels, checked burke and his face was weeping pus, so I called the vet and took him in, they found a tooth under his skin(they think muskrat)and had to cut a big lump off his flesh away, vet says will take 3 weeks to heal and is going to be messy, hes on painkillers and antibiotics, he was so good, we did all this with no anaesthetic, he only screamed and thrashed once, was funny watching vet and tech take 2 steps back while I was still holding him by the scruff!.....after that he gave in and just let us fix him up, I wish I had taken pictures before all this happened just to show you how something that looks like nothing is something!

I seriously hope nothing else happens, its been nothing but hassle and money and heartache the past few weeks:(
