This is just a subject I will always have my doubts. No matter how justifying it is.

Sometimes it is the kindest gift we can give to our friends, whom have given is so much. As hard as it is for us, it is what we need to do for them. Working at a shelter and a vet clinic it never gets any easier. But it is very important and kind, something we need to do for our friends.

My sil and I had a good discussion about this last night. I think when an animal is suffering it's the kindest thing we can do and we're responsible for their welfare so we have to. When I've had to make the decision myself, however, I'm haunted by it, wondering if they were ready and hating the thought that I made the decision as to when my beloved pet or horse would die. Damn, it's SO hard.
