I decided yesterday to call my eye glass doctor which was Empire for an appointment to see them today, tuesday Great they are now called Vision works and they really have a large selection. oh and if you are 65 and older you get 65% off. WOW what a deal. so i go in anticipation of of spending around $200.00 eye exam went rather fast. i feel too fast. having worn glasses most of my life i felt she could have spent a little more time really having me look at the different strengths and reading the charts . my right eye is a lot weaker than my left. so she tells me she is going to strengthen my left eye (the better one) out to choose a frame. and after about 35 minutes picking and choosing i decide on a frame and the final total after discount was $294. sounds good. did you know that they charge for each lens. ????? and the eye exam was another cost. so in 10 days when i get them i shall see how great they are and i will let you know. but for now if you are over 65 and need glasses and there is a vision works near you, now is the time to have it done. I see you

When you want a second or "back-up" pair.... www.eyebuydirect.com has a great selection, excellent prices and delivery time. Company is in California. All can be done via their internet site easily. I bought hubby 2 pair of "aviator" style frames and bifocal lenses for $84.. both pair shipped to my house for this complete price. The frames are not a "in" style but he uses them for work and could care less about style but needs a full-coverage lens not the small rectangle of fashion... they have all kinds of frames and styles. No, I don't work for them but am satisfied with what I spent and what quality we received...

That is a great price. I have to buy a 3 or trifocal and i always get transition because i am in and out of buildings. and this year she talked me into a high def lens and no glare for driving at night. but i will check out that company you mentioned.
Oh and i am a fuss budget with my frames.

Empire vision or as they are called, vision works is on my poop list. i called them to see if the glasses are in, i contacted them on the 19th. lady says, oh sure they are here from the 13th. so they have been sitting on someones desk waiting for me to call THEM, i do not think so. needless to say i spoke to the manager and she profusely apologized . and i am still not happy, now i need to ride into a major city of kingston 40 minutes away with christmas congestion to get them. i will not be so cordial. oh and i am not getting the second pair, changed my mind.

I got my new glasses today, after a discussion with the desk help and the manager, finally,,,,,, i waited 45 minutes to pick them up and after that i went to the desk and the snip of a rude girl said i could have them , take them home, and if they do not fit to bring them back. I told her I drove 45 minutes to get there and was told my wait would be 15 minutes and if i were told to wait 45 minutes i could have gone across the street to get some coffee and food since i was on the road all morning getting tires on my car. the manage butted it and blurted out something about customer service always a priority, at that point i said my glasses were there for 15 days and i could not get to their office until today, and i was going to wait another 5 minutes, after that i wanted a full refund. within 5 minutes i was called in to them. they are real nice a winder frame than the old ones with blue inside. and high definition lenses make every thing pop. soooo with all the aggravation i am happy with them
