Ovation is more oval in fit, at least I think it is. I have worn Tipperary, Ovation and International {now known as IRH} in my everyday helmets, and something else in my velvet show hat , don't remember the name. My head is not round like a bowl. wag finger
I can't wear any of the Troxel brand comfortably....can we say headache time!!
For me, that dial fit thing is a deal breaker, period. I hate that dial sitting on the back of my neck in such a vulnerable spot. I like my helmet to fit and cover that area of my skull, not some protruding hard plastic object... I will never own a dial-fit helmet unless they greatly improve the feel of that system.
My helmet must fit me with minimal adjustments made right from the shelf and out of the box, maybe a foam insert moved or placed not by cranking a dial to change the interior of the hat size...just not a good idea in my mind. I think it is more uncomfortable and on the same line as wearing a construction workers hard hat...that is to close to "one size fits all" for me.
Please, before purchasing you truly need to go and try-on several brands and styles in your price range to know what is most comfortable and for sizing. I have found even in the same manufacturing line there are enough differences I won't buy a different style without a try-on first. So, off to the store...find something, then if the price is near the same a purchase or home you go to place a order.
Of course pictures modeling it would be great....

Got my new helmet and breeches. Breeches are a few sizes too large so they will be going back. Not to mention that they are kind of thick and stiff. But here's the helmet. It's really light and fits pretty well. Still a little extra room on the sides but I think it fits pretty well. What do yall think about how it looks? It's been ages since I've worn a helmet. Love the helmet. looks professional and sturdy, and looks like it fits well. oh tip the front of the helmet down ( the visor) just a bit.

Thanks. Then I think I will keep the helmet.
Not sure what's going on with the breeches though. I took my measurements and ordered based on those but they are way too big in the waist. I looked at the sizing charts for the jeans I wear and according to that my waist is 3-4" smaller than what I am measuring. I know I am measuring in the right spot. I guess I will just have to hit up the tack store one day after work, at least to get a better idea of what size I really need.
