I bought this ceramic pig and since I brought it home and set it on the floor. Molly lays by it all the time. I had to get after her once as she was licking on the ear. It's ceramic but someone put like a wallpaper on it..

maybe her maternal instinct? My female dachshund loves on our barn cat and will clean his ears and eyes and lays next to him if he lays on the floor. she is sure cute!

The other day she was standing by it and Squeak walked by and she growled at him. I got after her and then acted like I was going to grab it and she turned her head as to block my hand from touching it. I did pick it up and she was beside herself. She lays by it all day long.. She likes her piggy.  |

When I was growing up my parents had doxies, the full size ones, I don't think they're around anymore. Anyway, one used to have false pregnancies. She'd get milk and everything and then after a few weeks would go around the house looking for her puppies. Often she'd steal one of my stuffed animals. I'm not saying your girl is doing this I just think it's interesting that ours was the same breed of dog and had this obsessive tendancy.
