Please NOTE: If you are going to judge and be rude, please don't watch. This is a video of my stallion who had aggressive behavior IN THE PAST. This was taken in 2013. when he was half way to recovery. Also consider that he is a breeding stallion in a room filled with other stallions. My dad was doing his best to keep him calm. Today he is much more healthier horse in term of his behavior, I have worked with him a lot, he has tuned around nicely, but still a long way to go. This is a video just to show that it is possible to turn an aggressive stud to a nice horse, and show how much he actually was dangerous. Also I trust all the forum member not to share this video without my consent. watch from 8:10 to 11:50 that was in 2013. Today I ride him with no problems I didn't think he was that bad, I've seen worse in the ridden show hunters in Scotland! He's gorgeous, your dad did good to keep him together:)

You did? I thought he was the worst horse ever... Since Lipizzaners have such a good nature.

I Thought he was respectful and showing how much energy he had and how he loves your father and respects him. Sure he was bouncy but not any worse than the others. and i have seen some stallions that needed a person on each side to control them. so he was not bad at all. oh and what what this for and i am assuming for breed standards. how did he do. ?? probably the best of the class.

Thank you. It means a lot to hear that. He did well. He got his breeding licence. Every few years we have to bring them to check up.

I didn't watch the entire thing but I was first struck by how beautiful he is and how young your father is LOL But you know what I saw about the stallion's behavior is that he is young and doesn't have 100% control over his energy, which is pretty much to be expected but he was trying to be good, you could see that. It didn't seem to take a lot for your father to get the horse's mind back on task.
You're just spoiled Lipizzan LOL But perhaps maybe you're like me, you have high expectations and deal with what you get. I've seen so many horse people much more seasoned than I am putting up with poor behavior from their horses, always making excuses for it. Sure it will happen but it is not a good plan to have. This stallion of yours has a good heart, a good mind, he was simply young and inexperienced.
That picture of you riding him is just stunning, what a gorgeous animal :-)

I didn't think he did bad either. After all he is a stud. Some horses just don't do well in an arena. I've seen studs do worst.. He wasn't as bad as some of them.

I am not trying to find excuses for why he WAS like that. He is much more better today. I just wanted to show that he is not perfect and has issues, but still I keep trying and not give up. He is not that young. On the video he was 7 years old, that was his second check up. And belive me he was when worse before. That you for nice comments though :-)

I think it is great you have been able to do such good work with him. I agree with the others that he doesn't look that bad in the video but you can tell he is much calmer in the picture with you riding him.
I love his black hocks and knees though I assume they will eventually turn white as well?

I am going to agree with the others. I did not find his behaviour in that inspection to be all that bad. I have seen mares and geldings act like that at shows! He is gorgeous - Thank you so much for sharing.

Oh we understand what you're showing us no I think I speak for everyone that we would expect you to be working with him and improving as you go. We're just saying that he is pretty good considering. I'm also kinda wondering if your dad isn't as concerned about behavior as you are

Mistersmom , Yes the grey spots will turn white with the age. You are right , and not only that, he is responsile for him being like that. But I would not want to go in details. He is very sweet with me and female persons as well as children. But he cant stand adult man. He will bite and kich at them. Again fathers fault.

Wow!!! He is so beautiful. I would love to see a video of you riding him. Was he the same stallion you rode, when you rode over the obstacles? You can post videos of him any time. I love to see him.
