Angus Beef

I'm finally going to Va. to get my beef. I called the Missouri Ag and found out that all I need is to have an ID for the cow. So ear tag covers that. And the health certificate. So Tony and I will take Lint's truck and the old green stock trailer and head to Stauton, VA. We will probably leave here early Friday morning and hope to get there before dark so we can get him loaded. We will probably head back the same night. If Tony is up to it. The boy never sleeps. So between the both of us we can turn a flip flop haul. If not we will stay Friday night and head back Sat. morning. It's a 16hr haul one way. He drove straight through from Pa to hear last year..

When we take the pigs to market on the 19th. I will see about setting up a date for the beef. In the mean while I will put him in CJ's corral so we can reload him easily when we do have to take him. He has the set up for loading cattle.

On a good note if we spend the night. I'll get to see Gail Finney.. Just waiting to hear back from Ricky on the date.. Either the 1st or 3rd.  Finally I'll have a beef in the freezer and a new pig. So much meat and I won't even put a dent in it. But then again I can eat all the protein I want.. Grilling time!!!
