I use raisin bread. cut into squares. two eggs or 3. and for each egg one cup of milk. cinammon. and ginger,a good sprinkle of each and about 1/4 cup of sugar. and i put the bread into the egg mixture. than cut up an apple into squares and fold all together and in oven that is 375 degrees until the top is brown and nice looking. serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

I made it yesterday and it's delicious! My husband loves it. I had to look up on line recipes to find out how much bread to use and if I needed to put anything on the pan and found a couple more things to add. Two tablespoons of melted butter on the bread before adding the rest and vanilla in the mixture. It took most of a loaf of raisin bread. And I put butter on the inside of the pan. My husband was all excited to take some to work with his lunch because there's some sort of competition with the guys as to who has the best lunch.
