My herd stallion is dead. i knew he was not well for a while. had him looked at and was told it was a matter of time. he was born March 25, l991 and i bought him at 10 months old. He was so happy with his girls. going from a herd of 20 and having about 15 babies a year and mostly black and white like him but fillies mostly . he was the best dad. always baby sitting and playing with the kids. and if the mares were having a fight he would intervene and actually chastise each one. He was double registered amhr and amha and was 31 3/4 inches tall. He will be missed, he was loved for 23 years and never sick a day in his life. Ride on StarBuck. the angels will take care of you now and i will be there one day. oh and say hi to those that you know. Bert, Daisy. Silly. Bombay, BonJovi. Dance. and the many mares that passed before you. 884530

The saddest part of all this is i do not want another stallion to take over. i have another one who is almost 32 years old and I keep him separate from the mares . and at this point in time we decided not to have any more foals . just an end to a great 20 plus years of raising minis. Such is life.

I wish I knew of some words that would make this easier for you, but there aren't any. My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry.

I am so sorry Jo. I know that it is hard. And it is sad expecially with horses because they live long life's to become a part of us, but not long enoug.

I am so very sorry. Difficult part with horses is that they live long lifes, but not long enough.
