I adore pigs! My main species when I was in school hoping to move on to vet school. I worked on a hog farm while college (Animal Science) and I just love their personalities. I can have cattle in the village I live in but cannot have hogs due to an ordinance.

Lint's niece has her masters in swine reproduction. She is a piggy aholic!! She is getting marry in May to a cattle farmer. So maybe just maybe we can get a good price on a calf to raise... They do have personalities for sure. I love watching them play. They love it when we put hay in their pen. They just dive right into it and come up with hay flying..

They look like they are having so much fun.
I wish I had more time, because I would absolutely have one for a pet.

DG I don't have them for pets. Even though I hate to see them leave. I don't get attached to them. I have them only for the freezer. I wouldn't mind having a micro pig for a pet though. They say they are very trainable and make good inside pets. I have to much to do to have time for one. But these two are very comical.

Hmmmm a micro pig. I didn't know there was a micro pig.
You know I would love to have one, but the problem with that is, I know nothing about pigs. Even though it is a micro pig, designed to be a pet, it would still be a pig, and have the needs of a pig. Oops, I almost got on my soap box. I'll shut up now.

Micro pigs are like their relatives the big pigs. They have feed just for them now and they are smart enough to be boxed trained for a potty. But they are EXPENSIVE!!! Here's a site with info.... www.texastinypigs.com/breedssizes.htm
