Great pictures. In one picture it looks like Rawhide is trying to say something. TOOOO cute.
The hay hut looks great, but the horses look just a little apprehensive. It looks like they aren't really sure they want to stick their whole head in there. Eeeek, you can't see what's seeking up behind you, if your head in in a hole.
I know round bales shed moisture, so only the outer few inches might go bad, but the rest is good all the way to the middle.
I have often worried about what happens when it rains on the bale, the horses have been eating on. Once my crew have had a new bale for a day or two, it looks like would get pretty wet if it rained. (It seldom rains here so that is one worry I don't have too often.)
Your hay hut looks like it might solve those worries, and keep the hay dry, even in a heavy rain. I like it.
Ming, your piggy's are so cute. I can't imagine taking them to market. I have seen people riding piggy's. Maybe they could even be made into good trail pigs. You know, just for a year or two, until Suzie's shoulder gets all better.

The bale in the hut is a full one. So they really didn't need to stick their heads in to far. But as they eat it down they will have to put their heads in further. All of them are pretty level headed so I think it will work out. Actually it's pretty open and they can see out of the windows from all sides. Tony said it would make a great hunting shed.. The last set of pigs we had were pretty tame and Billie Jo would ride the black one. These 2 are pretty tame but not enough to ride. They are comical to watch. After these 2 go next month. I won't get anymore for awhile. I'll have enough in the freezer for a long time. With Lint gone most of the time. I don't cook a lot. I have given some meat to my hair dresser as her husband just passed and she isn't that well off. So I don't mind giving some to her. I even thought about selling mine. But a lot of people here raise their own for meat. My next project is to get some chickens.. Ya gotta have chickens on a farm!!! So we are going to turn the smaller side of the pig pen into a chicken house..

Nice pictures like usual....
Do you tie when you feed "feed"? Everyone so nicely standing in "their spot"....
Rawhide...what a ham! "Oh ma, another picture? Here is my funny face!"...
That hay hut...bet it did not take long for your well-fed herd to figure out it won't bite but the food is in it and if you want to eat...put your face in!!

Aarg!! doesn't it drive you crazy when they dump there perfectly good feed on the ground, and eat it with the dirt.
Chief likes to paw at his feed. He always dumped the bucket, so I got him a pan. He would paw and dump the pan, so I got him a small stock tank. He can't dump the stock tank, so he puts his dirty foot in it, paws around, and still ends up eating dirt, and poop with his feed. I do have an elevated feeder, and I try to make him eat his feed there, and have Diamond eat from the stock tank, but as soon as I turn my back, they switch, and he goes right back to the tank, to eat wit his foot.
