I purchased the most amazing device today, I spied it online and when I showed hubby he said I was evil and it was a horrible instrument. today after kitty's vet appt I popped into home hardware, lo and behold I saw one and only one on the shelf by the exit so I bought it, I'll have to hide it where hubby can't see it though, lol! www.nixalite.com/ratzapper.aspx

I hate emptying the traps, sometimes the mice are almost decapitated!
I worry about secondary poisoning with the poison bait too, I'm hoping the zapping is better, it's supposed to be super fast!

Wow, never heard of that. It's not any more brutal than the other methods I think. I wish it was a plug in thing for a steady zap. squirtgun
When we have a problem, I put the traps in a paper bag and just throw the whole thing out afterward. My hubby will reuse them. Too icky for me thanks.

It sounds like a good idea. Poisoning is a cruel death and glue traps even worse. I've heard of mice leaving their little legs behind on a glue trap and have seen them cannibalize another mouse stuck on there. I don't want them in my house but they are little creatures that feel pain and fear and I don't want them to suffer.

Well not having much luck with it so far, it was flashing to tell me I'd caught something but when I looked nothing in there and bait gone!
I've emailed the company to ask them wth?!

I bet the mouse found out how to reprogram the ratzapper and now the two of them are in cahoots The place I live has mice too. One leaves BIG poops and maybe two others with little poops. Coda doesn't live with me and the closest cat is across the street so I put out poison. I tried to plug all of the leaks in the basement so that maybe I could keep the mice out but the house is way too old and falling apart for that. I hate the idea of poison or traps but I also hate the idea of mice in my kitchen! Its bad enough that I have to check my bed for spiders every night, there's only so much humanity I have I guess I feel kinda two-faced
