OK It didn't turn out to bad. I think the next one will have bigger pieslices of apples. I took it to the neighbors for coffee and they all liked it. So here is the recipe. Apple Walnut .. 1 cup butter at room temp 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 2 1/2 cups of chopped apples 1 cup of chopped walnuts In mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in the vanilla. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and stir in the creamed butter mixture. Stir in the chopped apples and walnuts. Spread the batter into a 9 x 13 greased and floured baking pan. at 350 for 45 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean. Cool for 30 mins. before serving. Serve with whipped cream or caramel sauce. Today I did 2 pie" text="pumpkin pie" />s and my first apple pie in at least 5yrs..
