Their necks are so crest-y it looks like they would founder easily! They look like they would be great work horses though with all that muscle. Thanks for sharing.

I remember you posting about these horses a while ago. The look very barouque. large and fit for the work that is intended. pulling large amounts around the country. and perhaps in old days. riders with coats of armour. they look fat and small but i bet they are all full of themselves when they want to be. and how soft and smooth their backs are for bareback riding.

He is magnificent looking....
Heavy hindquarters, strong neck, shoulder and short backs....
He is a great looking stallion and bet he passes the breed traits well!"

They may have been in the past part of the mix....but Arabians of "old" looked nothing like Arabians of today.
"Old" blood was a stockier, heavier built horse than the "super-refined" dainty, so dished face amazes me they can breathe, no bones and so long pencil thin a neck....
Well, you get where I am coming from.
I like "old" blood stock of founding blood.... Bask line for sure and some others. Today.... . I feel the same way about a lot of breeds that are "refined & improved"...they refined and improved them too much and destroyed true breed characteristics today...

I can't agree more. I also like breeds in their original look. I also am not a fan of what people have done to some breeds. Especially Arabians.
