Well we were going to take Lint's truck but it's Found On Road Dead We thought maybe fuel pump but now it looks like it the cam sensor. Won't start at all now. So he will try and get it fixed when we get back.
So were taking my truck. We will pull out of here around 4am. It's a little over 600 miles. So we will meet up with him on Sunday morning and then if all is good with the things he told me. Sugar will be on the trailer and we will drive straight home. So will let cha know when we get back on the road.
Then Tuesday I might be headed back to the big truck with Lint and he will drop me off in Albuquerque N.M. and I will be attending my BBF's 60th B-Day party. Then he will pick me up on his way back to Springfield. I haven't been there in ages so it will be good to get back there.
So I will be doing some miles from now till next weekend.. Then come back and see how Sugar has made out and then maybe take her for a spin... THen start getting ready for Christmas!!! Cards will be mailed out after I get back from KY..
Still no word back from the lady about Libby smileys-sad-593832

Can't help but hear that song, "I've been everywhere" sung by Hank Snow or Willy Nelson's "On the road again". I carry Dramamine in my purse just in case, seriously. A eager traveler I am not so much. Maybe because I put 400 miles to go home to visit every weekend spring, summer and fall, staying in one place is appealing. But I do like the pix you take so I can enjoy the scenery from my living room. You take care of yourself and Lint too.

Well we made it. My camera decided to be ignorant. We made it ok..I will use my notebook and get pics in the morning. I like her!!! I don't think she is 15.2 but less. Which is good. She was trying to nuzzle me. Looking for treats I'm sure. But she isn't a sorrel. I think she is a chestnut. But the road going to his place SUCKED!!! It literally went from a 2 lane road down to a driveway!! If you met anyone one of ya ha to move off the road to get by. Not kidding either. I was so nervous. We had a drop off into stream or gully and the turns were sharp. I think that has been the most nervous I have ever been. I hope there isn't any traffic coming out of there tomorrow. We left the trailer at his barn for the night. So we plan on getting her around 8am and head back to Mizzou!!! Been a long day!! Nighty Night!!

Oh dang! I hate those drop offs. Part of the back way from the highway to get home sooner is like that, on both sides of the road are 50 ft drops to wetlands, will NOT go that way if there is even a tiny bit of snow or ice, scares the poopy out of me. I'm so afraid all of a sudden I'll start slipping and... *shudder*
Anyway... take a deep breath and stare straight ahead and dare anyone else to challenge you.
I'll be tapping my fingers until tomorrow for those pictures though (stupid *&^%# camera!)

Sounds like a scary road. Hopefully you don't have to travel on that too far. I'm glad you like her. Have a safe trip home tomorrow.

Rest well and at least you are in there and will get her in the morning. people never mention the road when selling horses. i have a one driveway that is shared and i always mention it will be narrow for one tractor trailer width. and i also say there is plenty of room to turn around at my barn. well this is half over . now eat and be on your way.

Well my camera started working and I did get a few pics. But the sd card isn't the kind were I can pull the sim card out and transfer to note book. When we stop for fuel and check on her I will get some with the note book. Looks like a new camera is in order. It seems to be the card slot is wearing out and it tells me the card is locked, when it isn't. So far you don't know she's back there. Loaded great!! Here are some highway shots after we left using note book. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

Isn't that interesting, she travels lying down Well, she's a cutie and seems content to ride, so that's a good thing. And I can see even with the quality the way it is that you have some pretty nice hay, looks pretty tasty. She is going to be very happy with you. Here's to many happy hours and years together

We got home around 630. I must say she hauled well. And when we stopped she remained quiet on the trailer. She was great taking her across the front yard to the gate. The other horses were up at the round bale. ANd we had the Wench and atv out there with head lights on. So she went into the paddock and never got excited and then the herd saw her. They followed her around and JR and Rawhide were spatting over her. Rawhide thinks he is Don Juan and won't let her get near the rest of them. So I think all will be good tonight. I have a big flash light that lights up the place so I saw everything they were doing. She is very laid back. I also bought her saddle and it's nice.. Haha you just to funny. Don't know why it posted that way..Any how My camera is still down. It keeps telling me the card is locked and it isn't. But what pics I did get this morning here they are. 2 lane road going in Road got skinnier Road was a driveway Only pics I got of Sugar..I'll get Shorts camera tomorrow and get more.

Nice.........
Very good thing you both can drive that rig around narrow bends...never a doubt.
Enjoy the new riding partner.
Can't wait for some more pictures.

That narrow road/driveway would make me very nervous! So glad you all made it home safe and sound. Sugar is very pretty! She's sort of a liver color, isn't she? I'm glad she handled the trip and the introductions to the herd so calmly. I'll be looking forward to more pictures!

I like her! it will be interesting to see what color she sheds out to in the summer. Glad to hear the trip went (relatively) uneventful!

I think she may be liver chestnut! and I love her build. I am not the bravest hauler in the world so that road would have had me shaking! So glad she traveled well. She looks fantastic!

All was good at feeding this morning. It has been cold and sleeting this morning. She was doing great until a heavy sleet hit the barn roof and the others acted dumb and she wanted to run but was tied and she did absolutely nothing wrong!! She seems to have a good mind. I didn't put them out in the back field yet. I want to walk her around the fence line first and maybe I can get Short's camera and get some pics.Yes she does look more like a liver chestnut. I use to have one that had a blaze and 4 white socks years ago.
I did order my self a new camera this morning. Canon Black Rebel T5 18 MP Digital SLR Camera Bundle with 18mm-55mm and 75mm-300mm Lenses. I can now get some better zoomed in shots. Not a digital but it still has an auto and sport setting and those are what I use the most. It will be here Wed. I hope. Shame though as I hope to be headed to Albuquerque with Lint Wed morning. That's if he gets a west run that goes through there. If not I will be here getting Christmas tree up and maybe try out my new ride.
