I've seen a few ads lately in our area for 'Portland' horses. It seems like they might be a type of warmblood as they seem to be mostly advertised for jumping. I googled it and can't find anything. Anybody heard of this? I'm just curious as I've never heard of this before.
It might even be all the same seller and it's the name of a thoroughbred or something, I have no idea.

I figured it out. Apparently Portland L is a European show jumper.

We have one of the fillies (she's probably 3-4) at our barn. Pretty cute.

Yes, Portland L stands at Equi-top farm. He may be retired now. I nearly bought one of his daughters before I went to look at Benny. He throws lovely horses.
My late friend raised one of his daughter from a yearling, she grew into a spectacular mare. I know others by him that are equally talented. They do tend to run a little on the hot side, but this is mostly because they are smart and athletic.
There is a lady in the area that has had 2 of his daughters for sale for years (two chestnuts). They are not the nicest of his get I have seen. (Actually, they are the least nice, makes me wonder about the dam). Rather overpriced if I do say so myself, and has not budged on price at all in the years they have been for sale. When I saw their ad's again the other day I was reminded of our dear 'whiner'. Lol
