Hi!
New to this forum and see some old forum friends names. I live in NW IL - very close to the IA and WI borders. My hubby, daughter and I ride together a few times a week as well as with a group of friends. I have been a horse owner my entire life and introduced my hubby to horses when we met 23 years ago. We have 4 horses currently - 2 Appies, 1 Paint and 1 Foxtrotter. My hubby is the Appy fan - and I am riding a gelding we foaled that was meant to be his riding horse. Naughty Steve turned out to be too naughty for hubby so he became my riding partner. We own about 10 acres and have some steers, the 4 horses, 2 wiener dogs and 3 cats.
Excited to meet new friends and see posts from familiar names.

Welcome!! I was NorthernHorseGirl over there but I figured NHG was easier. Plus I'm hardly a girl. Anyway, have fun, I'm sure you'll like it here.
