Happy Veteran's Day to all our Veterans, you are appreciated! I found this site last summer, that has old documentary films, many taken in wartime. You can do a search for your loved ones if you know what infantry and division they were in. I was so fortunate to find my father in a film from WWII. Here is a link to his video, he is only there for a half minute or so, but it means the world to me! He is the guy at the beginning on the right, who then climbs on the tank. drive.google.com/file/d/0B71btol7qblzZzdjR2pQcjYxamZ1ZmEwQjhobjdCLWJBNkQw/view?usp=sharingwww.criticalpast.com/ Adventures2

Gerald is a Viet Nam era veteran. My daddy was a veteran of WWII and my grandpa was a veteran of WWI. I can't help but have tears of emotion whenever the rodeo announcer proclaims love and respect for our beloved heroes and the pride we have in our country while the flag is held by a rider on a horse running around the arena. Whether we believe in armed conflict or not, its a fact and we must support our troops.

That's so cool to see your dad at such a young age. What a great resource. We have the National D-Day Museum here at in New Orleans which is fantastic. If anyone is ever in NOLA, please plan to go visit the museum (plan a whole day there, it actually takes several visits to truly see everything).

Just think about how young our people are when they go off to war, and the things they have dealt with...
Anyway, redzip, sorry I don't know why you couldn't see it. HL4L, sadly he's not with us anymore, I lost him about 23 yrs ago, but I thank you.
That site is pretty cool, watching those old documentaries gives you an idea of how history really was, without all the hoopla of hollywood.
I did love seeing him.. something new after all these years.
