I Went to the Equinne Affair today to spend the day just looking and shopping and seeing a few clinicians. I left the house early and texted my helper. as i was not talking to hubby because of a discussion we had yesterday, she of course said all was well and the day was quiet. I get back to my county and she called to say that she was home and hubby drove her. than she dropped the bombshell that my dwarf DeMoose, we called him moose. was dead. apparently his heart just gave out. He was fine yesterday, just talking to his girls on the other side of the wire, we had to keep him separate so he would not breed with anyone. I am in shock. Some horses just seem to find a place in our hearts and he was one of them. he is the horse in the back scratching himself on the golf cart. he was about 14 years old and the vet said he would not live 5 years.

Oh Jo... I am so sorry. Your heart must be broken with hurt... he chose a time to go when you would be away and not see his passing. Even in his passing he tried to show his love I believe by sparing you watching... Godspeed little one..run free with all who have gone before you. Jo...many, many .

Thanks for the and well wishes. and yes hl4l you are right, i never thought of him passing on a night that i would not see him. I would have found him cause i feed him and talk to him many times during the day. Today will be strange. his little nose will not reach up for his kisses. and yes he is with the many of his friends that passed before him. especially Burt the donkey and Daisy the pony.

Aw Jo, I'm so sorry. It's sad that he's gone and even worse that you didn't really get to say goodbye. Poor little guy and poor you.

Thank you all for your kindness and consideration. i do miss him , my only thoughts are that he is with is friend burt the donkey and daisy the pony that were always with him. Time heals the wounds and thankfully i have the memories and a bracelet made from his tail hair.
