I am horselover4life...
I have worked in the horse industry as a "barn worker" and "manager" of riding facilities.
I have mucked stalls with the best and not so good, get dirty and filthy like any other worker and would never ask another to do something I would not...
I have worked for the "exclusive" barns, private facilities, show barns, backyard barns...all had the same common denominator ..horses.
I have worked in both the English and Western riding worlds, taking care of "my" horses.
I have trail rode, shown English Hunters & Jumpers, Western Reining (primarily)... all had the common thread of my love of horses in general and being surrounded and immersed with them makes me most happy.
I love to learn about most any topic, not just horses.
I love to learn about horses; the how, what, where and why... to me if I stop learning and being open to other ideas and opinions I am cheating myself and my animals of something that may indeed be a great thing.
I can be opinionated by what I have experienced and been exposed to in my life in general...
I am very tolerant of the not knowing, innocence of those asking questions, once informed by any learned person can get "cranky" (that is a good term) when your no-longer innocence is causing your animal distress, any animal not just a horse, any living breathing "thing", human included.
If I ask a question, it is because I truly want to know...not just idle empty words.
I want to understand and can appreciate others opinions and life experiences... your experiences also enrich my mind and understanding of the world I live in.
So,... that is some of the "about me".
I look forward to being a member of this forum and contributing to and getting answers to all kinds of things...
I hope many of us can become friends.
I look forward to open communication, not squabbling or animosity nor "put downs" as I have seen happen on other forums...
No one in my eyes is better than another...some have different views and experiences than others but that does not make it right or wrong, just different.
Park your attitude(s) at the door and pick-it-up on the way out is my feeling....that goes for me too!
Without further ado... lets get on to the forum and some of those great topics people are now posting about...
now if I can figure out the picture thing... some will appear too!...
