Ok, I know we all collect horses and saddles and tack and dogs and cats.....
But besides all that, do you have any "collections"? Do people still collect things?
I'll go first. I hate to admit it but I collect........dust bunnies. Not something I really meant to start collecting but I now know why they are called dust bunnies and not dust cats.....they reproduce like bunnies!
Seriously though, I really don't collect much. I do try to pick up a horse figurine when I travel to new and exciting places but that's pretty rare.
Who's next?

I don't collect anything anymore. I used to collect Breyer horses and I still have them all. My husband collects cool looking liquor bottles which he then displays on the tops of the kitchen cupboards- which I hate. And he collects antique Asian scrolls and trinkets. I think he's a bit of a hoarder.

Oh Dear.... I collect Christmas houses. I didn't start out to collect them, but I had always wanted a set. That became a snowball of, what an easy "no brainer" Christmas gift for Mom. This has been going on for years, adding more Christmas houses, and more little people to go with them. The last time I had them all up, I think I had around 50. Do you have any idea how long it takes me to get Christmas up. However, this year I will get a much needed reprieve. I can't possibly risk setting them out, with two young kittens in the house. One of them could be broken, and that would just devastate me, to be sure. So this year, at least, they will all stay safe in their boxes and tubs, taking up half my storage space, over the holiday season. Who knows, maybe this year I will even have time for a little Christmas shopping.

I don't really have a collection of anything. However, I do have some old things that I really like. I have 3 old phones that I love. They all work. One phone is from about 1908. It's funny to see little kids trying to figure out how the rotary phones dial.

Val. those phones sound like a treasure. i love ruby glass from the 1800's to early 1900, different pieces not just drinking glasses, and i seek out any porcelen vase or small dish that has the initial fpk on the bottom usually with flowers and gold trim. soooo if anyone has something like that i am ready to buy.

I also have a great collection of dust bunnies. Other than that I have some Montana Silversmith statues, a few painted ponies, A few others and eagles. I have a set of pitcher and glasses of the carnival glass that was my moms. I have a handmade heavy crocheted bedspread that her mom did, A copy of the Washington Post from when President Kennedy was shot. These were also items my mom had. Plus some old coins. HL I use to make porcelain vases etc.

Here's a picture of my old phone, isn't it cool? I love the old ring it has, kind of like a tricycle bell, and the sound on it is much better than today's phones. DG- You see that is why I don't officially collect something, you'd end up seeing me on hoarders. You must have a favorite or two though maybe at Christmas you can post a picture.

Santa's. Son counted a few years ago and said I have over 200. I personally think the 8 wines glasses that the stems are Santa's should count as one. I even had a naked Santa shower curtain with a strategically placed scrub brush. Sadly it finally bit the dust. I match by colour or room. Bathroom is blue and has blue Santa's, Santa's in outhouses/bathtubs. Kitchen is all gold and green Santa's. Welcome Santa at the door. Plaid Santa's in the dining room. I've even got a farting Santa (son's gift). I've not bought one in a few years though as I've not seen one that appeals. A wee bit of a Christmas freak here.

I will have to see if I can find some pictures from last year. I won't be getting the houses out this year. I don't want to fuss at the kitties for being kitties. I know I won't be putting up my Christmas tree. All my ornaments have special meaning, and I really would be heart broken if something happened to one of them. DC I know a lady who has collected Santa's for years. They are really amazing. I would love to see some pictures.

That's a lot of santas DC! Would love to see pictures.

I also belong to dust bunny collectors anonymous. Other than that, I don't really collect anything anymore. I used to collect Breyer horses, and I still have them all, but I don't buy them too often anymore (unless I see one that I just can't live without ). I do pick up horse, unicorn, and Pegasus figurines sometimes, but not too often.

I can't, it keeps saying file too big. How can one picture be too big? Oh....I got this one...
Go to photobucket and open a free account. Load your pictures there, then hit "RESIZE" and type in 300 in the first box that opens...the second size box will automatically size correctly. Your pictures are currently to large to fit the demands of this site....I also click to replace the original or you end up with duplicates. {this won't hurt your SD card picture!} After that completes on the right side of the screen are a few choices of how to send your picture...I use the bottom box myself. When you click on it is says "COPIED"...now go back to here and do the photos adding thing and poof it appears AFTER you hit the post button.
One thing I can tell you though using photobucket is make sure your settings are set to private and only put photos you don't mind anyone seeing if they go snooping. So a separate account if you use them for other accounts. Make sure you have separate log-in and passwords so your personal pictures don't go out seen everywhere in case of a glitch. Unless you don't mind all seeing your true given name make that account with something carefully chosen....

dc - Sometimes your camera is set for high resolution pictures, which is great, it gives very clear pictures. The higher the resolution, the bigger the information size of the picture. There is a limit of 1 mb size for posting. So what you would have to do is copy the picture (so you don't lose the original high resolution picture). Then put it in a program that can resize pictures. 522867 I don't know if you need further help, but if you do just ask.

Ohhh...forgot!
IF you wish for only select eyes to see your photos, put your post where it is "members only" and then not just anyone gets a look. Only our members signed-in can see our members only places.... You can also do multiple private message recipients from our PM spot...only those listed see what is being said... I am cautious of what is put out on the web... I share with my friends here, but to the world....
Don't forget we also have a "LIKE" button and all of our cool emoticons to play with in our posts... I happen to love adding these to most everything I post. They can also be disabled by clicking the smiley face and scroll to the bottom and click on "disable".....

I just wanted to add that you don't have to resize as small as 300 in the first box. I always resize mine to 640 x 480. It keeps them a good size for viewing, but a small enough file to load on here.
