We can include this, too, right? I'd LOVE to see people's grade, crossbred or mutt horses and see what breeds they actually have in them.
My boy is half quarter horse, one quarter thoroughbred and one quarter morgan. He mostly has the morgan body as you can see. He does anything from working cattle to showing to jumping to trail riding to parades and more even though he's built so oddly. But he has good, hard bone and amazing feet and has never been lame or sick. And he has an amazing rocking chair lope. I was out with friends last night and once again he was voted the horse everyone would like to own at the stable, same as at the last stable we were at. Between his sweet personality, his colour and how he is under saddle everybody loves him. I am blessed to be his owner and companion.
This was taken about six years ago but I don't have any other pictures that show his whole body like this so you can see his odd build. My daughter is riding him, he was hers then.

Your horse is amazing, just beautiful, and that color is lovely. This is a really good idea for a thread.

This is Brannigan, he was half Irish Draft and half TB, I bought him on a whim as I felt sorry for him as he was neglected and ugly lol! I broke him in myself at 4 years old, well to be honest he broke himself in, I saddled him got on and went up the forest with hubby on his moms cob and we got lost for hours, therefore he was pretty much good after that! He was a funny horse, he hated other people riding him, he was a mummy's boy, I still cry when I think about how he died and I wasn't there for him:(....he died of suspected grass poisoning at age 14. I trained him to jump using fallen logs up the forest and we won our second cross country course, the first I should have been at least placed but some stupid jump judge missed me jumping the fence and said I missed it, it's because he was so fast! He he hated bits in his mouth, he had a very small mouth so I rode him in a german hackamore:) photo was deleted by admin

Thanks for the compliments on my boy Lip and LD! LD, what's grass poisoning? I'm so sorry to hear that. Sorry I meant grass sickness, it's predominately a European disease I believe, I'm not convinced thats how he does though, I swear he was poisoned by my Fil hooker new wife but I can't prove it :( www.grasssickness.org.ukthey didn't inform me to after he was buried, obviously I would have donated his body, my Fil knew that, makes me suspicious especially as 2 other horses went too one a few months before and one a few after different things though, brannigan had never been sick a day in his life:(

I have a few very unique cross breeds! We have Oliver, He's an apply/shire cross. He's Built like a shire but has the appaloosa coat and thin main/tail. This horse is a power house! He is extremely docile and submissive. He is like a big puppy dog and is perfect for my fiancé (hence why Oliver is his lol) picture of him under harness My other cross breed is Sheldon, he's an Hanoverian, paint cross. He has nice long legs and "thin" build like a Hanoverian but has the Paint colouring and attitude. He is very level headed for a 3 year old and takes on new challenges very calmly. He is truly an amazing horse and I am excited to see how we do with more training Love this guy to bits! this is a picture of one of our first couple rides (don't mind the not wearing a helmet... I 95% of the time I use one but I happened to forget it that day)

I could see them. Awesome pictures. I just love the one of Reno and his tiny rider. The saddle fits the rider and the horse.

Such beauties!! Technically, Lucy is an appendix QH, as her sire Barry Swift was 1/2 QH, 1/2 TB, but I guess he did well enough in the show ring and exemplified the QH breed that the AQHA granted him full QH status, and by default his babies get full status. So, she's registered full QH, but is 1/4 TB. Her lines go back through War Admiral to Man O'War, so that's cool. And here's her little 1/2 Arab, 1/2 QH baby, Leroy Brown. Missed out on buying him, unfortunately! And here he is all grown up!

Beautiful horses! No tomatoes..... Can I make a small suggestion SL? You need to slide your saddle back a few inches. Right now it is sitting too far up the withers. If you kind of wiggle it when slowly sliding it backwards you should feel it nestle into the "sweet spot". But perhaps you knew this and this picture was taken before you got everything finalized before getting on.

Yup, I was told that before! It was the first time I'd saddled her up with the new saddle (my first time saddling with a Western saddle!) and I wasn't quite sure. Since then, I *think* I've got it in the right spot. I'll have to take an updated pic of her saddled up!
