Made ya look!!! Would you ask him what a good quality set of shocks would be to put on my F250 SD. I'm towing a 28ft LQ.. Still have the originals on it. Getting ready to replace shocks, rear rotors (due to when the brake calipers locked up and they are warped) Have new calipers on it. Then after all that is done it will go to dealer for oil change and have them check out the transmission. When towing the LQ and have a good pull it will get to about 3000 rpms and the trans whines up but acts like it won't shift and goes into limp mode.(wrench light comes on) So I put it in neutral and recycle the ignition and it clears it. I'm thinking torque converter...

Ming... hubby said, "brand name of Gabriel or Monroe, gas charged, nothing special and all the shock does is control the bounce." He says unless you are planning on going Bah-hahhing you don't need anything exotic.
As for your tranny, he cringed and said bu-coo bucks....be prepared. Tranny & truck = $$$$ usually ca-ching, ca-ching!
Know the feeling, we have a manual trans in his truck and over the weekend when pulling the trailer {thankfully empty} the clutch went crazy...now needing a new clutch, flywheel cut and of course needed the trans jack to hold the stupid thing up...so bu-coo bucks here too!!
And HEY... would of looked anyway, me I'm nosy!!

Thanks I used to use Monroe's on my other trucks. Yea that tranny thing has me worried. but still cheaper than replacing the truck. At least we have Lint's truck and it's a manual. Hate the new vehicles. They don't build them like thy use to.. Tell hubby Thanks!!!
