My husband drove me out and brought a comfortable chair. I sat in the small viewing area just inside the door which opens right into the arena. I got to watch my daughter work with her new horse and then one of the girls brought Prince in to see me. I got up to see him and when I sat back down he started inching into the doorway until finally he could stretch his neck and give me a kiss. Some of my friends were crying about my magical moment and I was crying with joy. Then he kept giving me kisses and checking me out and giving dirty looks to any horses that came near. It was like he was wondering what was wrong with me. What a wonderful night!

Ahhhh, I am so happy to hear you got some equine therapy time! There is nothing like a horse to make you forget all your worries and problems, at least for a little while. I hope you get to see him more and more often. apple

Just getting caught up on some of the posts and comments. This is a good one to surely read!!
I truly believe that horses and all animals can sense illness, and health in a person and will bestow upon that person TLC as needed. In this case, Prince already knew you were ill {past tense} and that now you are healthy... He was welcoming you home and back......
Kisses, yup...bet if he could of gotten close enough he would of hugged you with his neck too... They know, they truly know who loves them and return it!!
...I am so happy for you.

Thank you! I went out again last night and was walking up the lane between paddocks. Because of where his shelter he couldn't see me. Another horse I walked past put its head over the gate so I called out 'hi buddy' to it. Prince recognised my voice and immediately started nickering.

"Prince recognised my voice and immediately started nickering". ...what a wonderful thing to hear and be part of. Prince misses you and is glad you can come to see him some... ...your "heart horse" is he??? Sure sounds like he could be...

He is HL4L! He really is. We got him when he was three and he was daughter's horse. He was very green and my daughter trained him. When he was twelve he became mine. He hated it at first but a few months later he totally became my horse. He doesn't like other horses around me and pouts if he sees me ride another horse, same as he used to do for H.

Aww. Horses are just amazing, aren't they? Gosh... And look what hubby did for you, that is pretty darn wonderful too. He loves you too. I'm so happy when I hear about stuff like that. No matter all the other stuff, love conquers all, it really does.

You are so right , thank you. I love how you can see the little wrinkles he gets above his eyes sometimes. He's very expressive. He pouts and makes angry faces by pushing his eyebrows down, too. Mostly he just looks like my sweet faced boy. My husband had been scratching his forehead so he mussed up his forelock but that's okay.
