Not a vent just a thought that i am so tired. we fired our hired hand and now the lady that i have helping me will stretch chores to hours. i wish people would just do the job and get it done. and not take forever to do the barn chores. today was a busy day. going to get the horse food. and prep for a dinner guest. . and help this lady do the setting up and getting stalls ready for incoming horses. the horse with the eye surgery. is being beaten up by one of my geldings. if this gelding does not stop harassing other horses he is going, going. going. he does this picking on horse routine until the other horse is too scared to come to the barn. i guess i will have to take a lunge whip and go after him again. had wine with dinner and am real relaxed and sleepy. hhhmmm....

Sigh... it is so hard to find decent workers no matter what business these days. I feel for ya! Hope someone turns up soon for you. As for the aggressive gelding, I'm going to suggest this only because my BO used it on her own gelding because he would terrorize new horses, and at his size it was dangerous. She bought him one of those horsey obedience collars. It worked! He's a great gelding, & no longer a bully. It was a major investment; I was surprised when I heard about it- used way before I moved there- because he's such a good fellow. Good luck & hope things work out. I'm having some wine with you lol!

The weather is getting cooler and it is dark when i get up to go feed. hate the winter and the cold. the horses seem to love it, getting all furry and fat. I always said if i hit mega lotto i would buy an island and move the horses there for the winter and turn them all out, free, no fences for them and we can camp by the fire campfire on the beach . A girl can dream can't she. lol hmmm

That sounds good horselady, take me with you. horse and buggy I like this time of year carving-pumpkins, the and wool festival is coming up, the leaves are so beautiful rake leaves, and the apples are delicious. I'm deciding on whether to make some fingerless gloves or some socks. Not that I am all that knitty, but I do like to do it now and then. Last time I started some gloves, my dog chewed up my bamboo needles, which harshed my mellow boy with mask, but now I'm ready again. I have to remember to put them up high EVERY time I put them down. candycorn

I wanna go too! Let me know where the island is and I will be there tomorrow!
Val - I had to laugh about your dog chewing your knitting needles. My cats LOVE my knitting needles, especially as I am knitting. I usually put a rubber band on the end of the needle if I need to put the work down, just in case!
