Hey pretty is as pretty does. As long as it is road safe and horse safe who cares what it looks like. My BP stock looks like a rust bucket but it is solid for hauling. Lay a piece of plywood over the floor in the tack part of it. I want to try that Rust Bullet stuff on mine. I have seen worst trailers than yours on the road...Have a great trip!!!!

Yep, who cares what it looks like as long as it is functional and safe for you and your horse(s). Do have hubby give the floor a good looking at (top side and bottom side). You don't want any rotten boards breaking along the way.
Drive carefully and have fun!

Thanks guys. The floor is really good for the horse. I made him double check that..lol.. The tires are the most worrisome part but really they should be ok. Sweating like crazy trying to get all my clothing options folded in piles on the table. I have to narrow down what I want to take. It's so hard to figure out how to pack for almost 2 weeks when laundry isn't an option!

Your trailer is fine...
Be sure to take a spare tire or two for a trip of this distance... only need one mounted but do bring a second as trailer tires are not always easy to find. Anyone can mount the tire for you if needed.
Have that window corner secured so it not rattle and make the horse nutty with the sound.
Safe travels. Have FUN & ENJOY!!
don't forget pictures please of your adventures...

I had to sell my gorgeous Circle J last fall and now we have no trailer at all. I'd be thrilled to have one like yours. It looks sturdy and solid. Hopefully one day we can get another one but this time I want a used one, not a new one. It's like having a new car. You agonize over every new rock chip and the first scratch.

There are a couple of things that need looking after and you are doing that. as long as the floor is safe and you and horse are too that is all that matters. and like mini says some rust o leoum on the door frames and you are set to go. try not to pack for two weeks. you are probably going to be in your clothes for a couple of days. just bring undergarments and socks and that can be rinsed out daily and hung in the truck to dry. and a couple of pair of riding boots. and make sure your saddle bags have all the necessary items as well as snack energy bars or beef jerky
i am sure someplace will be laundry facilities sounds like an adventure. just think of the people on the wagon trains venturing out into the wilderness not knowing which indian or gorge they were going to come in contact with , and by horse and wagon

If the tires are a few years old be careful. I had to replace tires on 2 trailers when we moved to MO. The BP tires were 4yrs old. The tires on the car hauler only a year old. They blew out. Before I brought the LQ out I replaced the tires on it. But replaces the LQ with truck tires. I will never put another trailer type tire on my trailers. I will get 10 ply truck tires. Make sure you have a trailer aid and a 4 way lug wrench just encase you have to change one. Did you have hubby check the wheel bearings?

Interesting, I didn't know you could get 10ply to fit trailers, I'll have to look around, we put truck tires on our SUV for towing, big difference.

I use light duty truck tires on the trailers. Even the tire dealers said that they were having a lot of issues with trailer type tires blowing out. The heat that builds up in them from the hot roads and hot temps cause to them to blow out. I have always used truck tires on my LQ. Tires may look good looking at them. But when they heat up that causes the issues to come out. I had a vibration when I would tow the LQ and thought it was the truck. Tires looked good on LQ as far as the tread and sidewalls. But it was between the tread on the one tire that started separation. I won't run anything less than an 8 ply on the BP and 10ply on LQ. May pay more but in the long run safer. Also if your trailer sets out in the sun. That kills your tires faster than anything. Also I park mine on boards so they aren't setting on the ground.

My semi-stock has 10 ply ties from the manufacturer. I blew a tire, my spare tire recently for no reason. It was sitting in the yard and boom the tire went. From sitting with the sun on it...IDK...never put it on and drove on it...only aired up and sat as the spare..weird. May be what you were referring to Ming with heat and sun. What I have discovered by speaking with many people & businesses is only buy American made tires. Stay away, run and hide from foreign tires, those made in China especially. There standards are terrible and so is their product. For my trailer it is a toss-up on truck or trailer tires. I want Goodyear brand tires on it and there is no savings between the two types. My understanding is there is a difference in construction of the tire and it has to do with how they are wrapped in treads I think it was told to me...the sidewall is stiffer than the truck tire too, needed for turning when so far away from the turning axle of the tow vehicle... I also need a "E" load range and not sure the truck tire comes that weight designation.... Still looking around and investigating before purchasing as now it will be 5 tires I need!!

Truck tires come with an E rating I have BF Goodrich Commercial T/A LT 235-85-Ri6's on it. Another thing to make sure to personally look at is when the tire was made. It will have a 4digit number on it EX 0409 which means the tire was made the 4th week in Sept. My trailer is rated at 10400 lbs. When loaded it is close to that weight.
Good Year makes the Wrangler HT which is a commercial grade tire. Max load range 3042@80 Ching ching though @ 170 a tire Now this is a 16in rim.

My trailer takes a 16" tire. 235/80R16 to be exact. Manufacturer states "E" rated tire
We used to have on our last truck Goodyear Wrangler HT..33/12.50R16.5 What a nice tire. Quiet, nice ride and great traction in all weather conditions...and they lasted forever. About the same price too as you mentioned.
The Marathon tire by Goodyear is between $130 - $140 I'm finding, then add mount & balance. Even online I can get cheaper at $117,, but need to pay shipping of about $15 - $20 per tire so no real savings seen. If I deal local and have a problem I can have easier "fix it, make it right" than through some internet site.
Just know now I question my current tires of name-brand not being up to snuff.
I hate having to tire shop... Maybe just time to buy a different trailer... Hubby would probably kill me! So would the cost ruin the budget and what savings account! ....
He recently tossed me for a loop though when he told me he would strongly consider a gooseneck for the next one... A complete SHOCK!!
