I thought this would be a fun idea to share some of my favourite grooming stuff. We can share to each other some products for example shiny coat... some brushes etc. These are just a few of my favorite things that I use Some products that I use- baby oil with water for shiny coat For pests in the summer we use lavender, garlic and water all mixed together in the battle and then spray it on a horse. For washing, home made soap, without chemicals(made of grease and lavander or some other plant) Of course "must have" body soft brush, I use it for finish, after all dirt is gone, for shiny coat. upload picsPlastic curry brush, I don't even know how many of these I have, so cheap and so handy. It clenes all the mud and dirt. I love it! free image hostMetal/wood comb- I use only combs like these, because plastic breaks easy, and I don't use it to often. free uploaderface brush-I always pay little more money for this brush, because i want it to be extra soft for horses face. image uploaderHoof brush photo hostingphoto sharing websitesMetal curry groomer- I use it only for cleaning soft brush with it post a pictureimage hosting over 10mb

My grooming box has a ton of goodies in it.
I've got a super soft face brush, a regular body brush, a slightly stiffer brush (good to use when they have their thicker winter coats), and a very stiff mud brush.
I have several curries - a small black rubber curry, a round metal curry (excellent for shedding), a plastic curry like the one you posted (which I don't think I've ever used ), and a very small red rubber cat curry which my vet suggested - it's perfect for doing the horses legs. Oh, and I also have a dog grooming glove. It's smooth on one side and has little bumps on the other side. My horses love to have their faces curried with the bumpy side of the glove, and then the smooth side wipes off all the loose hair when I'm done.
Here is what I mean by the cat curry: www.arcatapet.com/item.cfm?cat=3058
I have 2 hoof picks - one with a brush and one without.
I have a bot knife for removing bot fly eggs.
I have a sweat scraper for scraping off the excess water after giving the horses a bath.
For manes and tails I like to use Show Sheen and/or Cowboy Magic to help detangle and shine. I have a small plastic comb, a detangling brush, and a regular human hair brush that I use on their manes and tails.
To help keep the flies off my horses I generally use Bronco or Zonk-It fly spray and I keep fly masks on them during the day.
I'm sure there's probably more stuff that I'm forgetting, too!

OK...in my very messy, well-loved carry all... I have a plastic 2 handled basket like you use in the store for a quick run in and out "small purchases"...
So...a black hard rubber curry, a soft grooming glove, stiff mud brush, 2 medium stiff long bristle brushes, 1 soft brush and a 1 face flicking soft brush. hoof pick and brush combo, regular hoof pick, pulling comb, razor/thinning knife, scissors, sweat scraper combo shedding blade {single blade}, 2 soft hand towels, show sheen, fly spray, my well used & loved A5 clippers and blades, cool-lube spray, swat ointment, antiseptic cream, human hair brush, metal mane comb {never use it}.... And more...
I told you it was messy and very full of "stuff"... I love this carry-all as it is very deep sides so holds so much... can get heavy, but rarely do I need something and not have it close at hand.

We have so many grooming totes it is hard to remember what is in them all. we have all of the above items mentioned. i also use human brushes and baby oil. and triple antibotic cream is in them. as for bug spray skin so soft, vinegar, and water and spray on the horses or wipe into the ears and face for the bugs. i also have sunblock for sun sensitive horses. and swat the pink cream is best . , oh and i clean the brushes in the summer about once a week with bleach and water. just empty all the items in a bucket and soak a couple of hours than cold hose and sun dry.

I have a few brushes from hard to soft. Hoof picks, bot knives, the round metal curries, Scissors, plastic hair brushes for mane/tails. Furazine for boo boos, a small bottle of show sheen, tube of Cowboy magic detangle and CM shampoo. Clippers, rags, metal bath scrapper. Hate those plastic ones.. Also have corona and a hoof conditioner. This is all in the tack room and I also have my travel bag which includes leg wraps for emergencies. For flies I use Wipe and Repel X,carry Bronco or what ever is on sale for camping.

OH Ming.... I love WIPE!!
The smell is wonderful and it so works...and doesn't come off with sweat like so many others.
Now, I think it was you who told me to put it in a spray bottle and spray it on I no longer have grease stripes from the first swipe on the body with a loaded rag...
I have Repel too and a bottle of citronella oil to add when bugs get real bad {yes, it is the one for horses not bug lamps! }
Skin so Soft gives me a headache, a bad one! Think when the kids use to douse their horses in the stuff where I worked I developed a aversion to it...they also used it straight, full-strength...now I am very leery to get anywhere near it...near migraine strength headaches I got. Not good...........

I hate bronco. a horse one time got severe rain rot from it. i suppose she was allergic to it. but her hair got all clumped up and after i gave her a bath and used medicated shampoo she was ok.
as for skin so soft. it is one part of that, one part water and one part vinegar.
