Since my doxie Sweet Pea is getting up in age. I decided to look. We'll I saw this black and white with a blue eye doxie. She's suppose to be 2 yrs old. She had a litter of pups. She wasn't even dried up when I got her. She has stuck herself to my hip. I can't go Anywhere without this dog if I leave her she whimpers at the door. She is house broke and very laid back. She has been smacked on I think. But she isn't a bad dog. Found out she loves the water hose. Got on the atv and she jumped up in the seat and rode around the fence line with us. So far she listens pretty good. She is afraid of squeaky toys and doesn't play with any toys. But likes to play with you. She will grab your arm with her teeth but so far she hasn't gotten hard with the grabbing. So she will probably be a keeper...As soon as I can afford to and fins a vet. I will get her spayed. The lady called her Holly but we call her Molly..Heck she answers. :)Pics to come

She's beautiful! What happened to the pups? Did she come from a shelter? Glad she has a nice home

Cute dog Mingiz... I see Sweet Pea enjoys having another to play with.... Contact your local ASPCA shelter about spaying...I know the one by us has a voucher system that allows your dog to be spayed free of charge at a area vet. Win-win, dog is spayed and no more unwanted pups needing to find good homes. ETA: we have a LIKE button...way to go!!!

Puppies were sold I'm guessing. I saw a pic of one of them and they looked like doxies but were mixed with a taco dog...lol
Molly likes to ride on the atv. This morning we took her out with us and of course she jumped off and ran around. When she was following us back in, something stung her. Well isn't she a big sissy. Whatever stung her got her tail and she is still feeling the stinging and is whimpering and running around. I tried to look but she goes nuts on me. She has had all the chances to bite me today and hasn't....GOOD Dog!!! lol HL4L there is no SPCA here...So I will take her to the local vet instead...Of course once I get one...

Ouch poor baby! bee stings REALLY hurt. Dogs have very sensitive tails that is why some breeds tails are docked. Our poor Rottie got into a nest of them and was stung BAD!!! all over her head and front legs. We had to take her to the vet where she was pronounced to have a fast growing cancer and needed to be put down if she didn't get better in a couple of days. She wanted to do it then but I insisted that it was bees that stung her so she gave her a steroid shot. My son left the vets office with tear filled eyes. I told him the vet was full of crap and we didn't go back. The pic I have is to graphic to share. It took her weeks to heal but you would never know it today. Then it took me a month to find the nest and destroy it. Doxie's are prone to spinal injuries from leaping down. I think you should train her to wait for help getting off the atv or any high spot she lands her behind on. You can use a ramp for things like the couch or your bed. This is true for any small breed. I belonged to a forum and I heard many horror stories about doxie's with ruptured disks and were incontinent or paralyzed all because of jumping off the couch etc. Molly is to cute to see that happen.

candycornThanks All. She has settled right in. Her and Sweet play and have a good time. Farmergal I know about the spinal issues in doxie's . Sweet is 9 and other than her eye sight starting to go, she is very active. She is a mini. Molly is a standard and she is high energy and fit. Once they get something in their head and want to, it's hard to stop them. Now if Molly rides on the atv we hold her and when she wants down we stop and let her sniff and run. She jumps up in my F 250 with ease. The first time she did it, it shocked me. But then she lays across the back floor and refuses to get out. So she is full of herself.. She is family now and she has 2 houses to visit everyday... She is a happy dog now.. We also found a nest where she got stung and took care of it. We had been riding the atv right beside it.
