I like the no turn ones. I have used the rubber ones in the past, but found they didn't really fit well and had a tendency to rub. I have a pair of pro choice and a pair of Iconoclast's. I love the quality of the Iconoclast boots, but the pro choice ones fit Benny better. If you need a pair if be happy to mail my Iconoclast ones down your way. I don't use them anymore and they just sit in my tack locker.

I use regular heavy duty double Velcro closure bell boots...generic no-name. I have used pull-on and did not like them. I have used single Velcro closure and had to go find them every time they were used from the fields... I have used think it was Esquadron with a locking tab and hated them! The tabs broke off often. I had no-turn and hated them. I think they were Professional Choice brand but not positive on that. On my horse they held the sand, dirt against the bulb causing abrasions, sores and discomfort... May have been my horses shaped hoof since Apollo has such good results...I won't but them again though.
What ever you buy make sure they are the right size for the hoof....

I agree Horselover, I think making sure they are the right size for the hoof and hoof shape is critical and would certainly make a huge difference. I'm not sure how to suggest going about doing that without employing a 'trial and error' method though. I think that's why I think my Iconoclast's don't work as well as my pro choice ones. They are a slightly different shape and just a touch smaller. Now that I am thinking about it this morning the fit of my bell boots did change over time as we slowly corrected Benny's feet (track feet, no heel, long toe) because initially the Iconoclast boots did fit him better. Since his feet have been corrected I have noticed the sand problem above mentioned with the Iconoclast boots that I no longer have with the pro choice ones.
I have used both double Velcro and locking tabs with reasonable results. The single Velcro tabs are not worth it imo and I despise pull ons.

We have used no turn and rubber with Velcro closure. These were used over easy boots as the horse had a large over stride and would pull her easy boots off. Horses feet have come along and we no longer use bell boots. So I second the offer - I would send you mine if you wanted them as well. I think mine are Medium in size

Apollo and carshon - how much do you want for your boots?
It's a good thing I'm not a tack hoarder and you aren't enablers.....oh wait, we are! LOL. mini-graphics-smileys-824246

Haha, I was just going to mail them, no money required. I'm not using them and they are taking up space I need to indulge my own tack hoarding addiction! I don't think it would cost much for me to send them down to you.

That would be great! If shipping is expensive, let me know and I can send you some money to cover it; I'm not sure how much it is to ship from Canada to the US.
