Very, very nice.......... Do ENJOY and safe travels to you.
Now,ummm....
You mentioned the new hitch.... a good one with a variable tree height you were given.
If it is anything like ours you can now open your tailgate completely flat with a small space of room before the trailer crank mechanism.Just remember never tow or move that trailer with the tailgate open!!
So, you knew it was coming...
Now that you made yourself nice and level empty... you have to decide if you will need to do that again once loaded.
I know on our enclosed car hauler trailer, when we were loaded versus empty there was a difference in the trailer height at the nose. We opted to be level when heavy loaded with hubby's race car and equipment than level empty and nose now low...equalizer bars pull the trucks suspension to that height.
We used the equalizer bars for long hauls...notice how I wrote that.
We did not use them all the time {our bad} and once we had the hitch adjusted hubby's truck held the weight just fine. We needed the extra turn-radius getting into or out of our parking space at the racetrack. With the bars there was a difference and that difference made it near impossible to tight-turn near jack-knifed we had to get.
Do be aware you may need to make another modification....will be easy now though if you have to since you moved the pin in the height adjuster bar already.
Ohhh... that "sleeping space"....think a Areo-bed would work really well. Can be put away when not needed, yet gives good support when aired up and holds the air through the night so bones aren't busted lying on a hard surface. You can buy a inverter adapter to run off your truck to power the bed compressor, and it takes only a few minutes for a rock hard bed to appear.
It is a beautiful truck and trailer...now to add your own special "touches".
Do enjoy!!
