nice photos! the grey horse with the purple halter, and her shirt really look nice, she is very pretty, and chose beautiful companions. years from now she will look back, and have fond memories of this day, and will still be able to smell the fresh baled hay

I really like the picture in the second row, 4th from the left, but my absolute favorite is in the 5th row, 3rd from the left. What a beautiful daughter you have Short.

Thanks all!!! She is a good kid. Very smart but yet very dumb..lol I think the plan is that she will go to the Missouri State University at the West Plains campus. Which is about 40 miles from us. She will live on campus so that will give her some exposure to the real world. Jess has been the over protective mommy. But she has done a great job raising them. (don't tell I said that) hehe. I pick on Ashley I call her my gay/geek GD...She is like no I'm not... Lint has been teaching her how to drive. They go down the dirt roads...I let her drive my new toy and I saw she was only going 20 mph. I said you know you can go faster if you want and she tells me Grampie won't let me go faster than 20. I told her I'm not Grampie and yet she still goes 20.... We love picking on her , but most things go right over her head and then the light bulb comes on and she like Oh Yea!!

Ming... she is blessedly naive yet to the nastiness of the real world... Mom indeed sheltered her, time she start to understand not all are nice out there so she is "protected"...
Living on campus in a dorm setting will be great for her, yet she is close enough to come home if she gets homesick on a weekend and for holidays. Far enough away to start to have some independence and make adult decisions. She will meet some nice, not so nice and some great people and new friends. Bet you have house guests for some of those holidays that can't get home or a group will arrive home for a weekend of home cooked food and some family time....all her new friends from a far will borrow your family Ming.
You know the saying...."The apple doesn't fall far from the tree...." Well her roots are deep-seated and she has great family.. Things not many have. You are truly blessed to have each other and so enjoy each others company. ..FACT!!
campfire...this will be all of you sitting around the fire enjoying her friends and having time to get to know them, and them getting to enjoy a nice family togetherness of caring and love.

Exactly!!! She knows the wrongs and rights. I hope that she stays on the good tracks. Naïve yes!!! We have stressed the wrongs with her. We also will welcome any new friends she may drag home.. And when they walk through the door they will be warned!!! And treated like family..

Sorry to be so late, she's probably graduated college already Ditto to all that's been said. Sure is refreshing to hear about a good kid wanting to do well. I am very lucky my boys are good people too and date/marry other good people - whew!

Congrats to Ashley, I remember how sad it was for me when I had to leave my horses and my dogs. I cried the first night, but you get use to it.
