After I dumped the dirt out of the cart, Stormy decided he wanted to get on it. I started to drive it away from him, so he chased me. My daughter took a short video with her phone. It isn't very good, but I think you can get the idea.

This is from yesterday. It's a little over 3 feet in the middle. I'm not sure how wide and long it is. I don't like the shape. It doesn't seem to flow. That isn't surprising to me though, because I have always had difficulty with flow. I want it to look natural, but it looks like I dug it. When I dug my old pond I laid an old rubber hose on the ground for my outline, then moved it in and out until I had an outline more to my liking. I tried to lay out an old hose here, but Stormy keeps dragging it off, and messing it up. The stinker.
Anyway, here is what I have gotten done up to yesterday. 10/8/14

It looks artificial because you just did it. A few months and it'll look natural. I think it looks great.

It looks artificial because you just did it. A few months and it'll look natural. I think it looks great. I didn't think about that. I imagine it will change over time. I still need to make it larger. Right now the slope is to severe to ever get bentonite to stay on the sides. It may have to wait for spring to get much larger depending on how our weather holds. We have been lucky and have had a very warm fall, but I don't know how much longer that will last.
Even though it is just barely in, I already have a leopard frog checking it out. There were also raccoon tracks, in the mud, around the sides this morning.
