now THAT's the kind of a letter that if i received in the mail, would not make me feel bad about someone asking for more money, especially since the amount of the increase is "small", and since they obviously already trust their horses care, and well being to you, and your hubby they know it is an honest request.

Thanks for the compliment. i will tell my friend that she did good with a note.
now i have 1/2 of them ready and will work on the other 1/2 this weekend and send them out on monday.
Some of my boarders are not here a year and one has paid for a year and 6 months in advance , but i feel good knowing that the ones needing the increase are getting these letters. .

Since folks paid ahead you might want to encourage that by discounting the rate in they pay a certain amount in advance

I have gotten paid in advance by others and one boarder sends 3 months at a time., and the deduction if they pay in advance is not going to work. they eat the same and poop the same with no discounts!!!lol and besides if they die i have to give the money back minus burial fees. been there done that.
one more letter to go and out the door to their door on monday. lol 522867

The notices went out 5 days ago and i already got a message from one of the boarders that she is changing the auto pay to reflect the change for october payment. she says that the best place for her beloved horse friend is here with us,. one positive and 8 to go,.  |

Another boarder was here to see her horse and she was so touched and thankful that i took the time to write a handwritten note with the above letter to ask for an increase.,
She says that the other barn where they keep their riding horse they just send out printed letter with just the new rate,.
soooooo hubby was happy and i am also.
another boarder messaged me and is in agreement also.
so this is going great so far,. the 8 notices that were sent out 3 are ok. 5 to go. i have a feeling i will not hear from the rest until october checks arrive.
