My trailer is almost road worthy!!!! one last thing to do!!!!! now to start decorating!!!! Mwahahaha! get ready to be zebrafied! Just remember to have a "quiet spot" for those times of a bad headache and a "plain" wall would be welcome instead of busy stripes...or the morning after a celebratory few to many....... "Ohhh my aching head trying to focus on stripes?..... {I don't drink so the few to many would for me be 1!}
Enjoy and you know we want pictures again please of the finished project, inside and out this time!!

OH! and the trailer had previous damage to the screen door so it was taken off and i got a velcro/ magnetic screen door and i like this thing even more than a big metal door that ya can get ya thumb tore off on (that happened to me in mas last camper ). Now i gotta get all my camping clothes tigether! i already have my bedding! its all horse themed! with electric lights!!!!!!!

What I have for a water tank is the plastic ones from Tractor supply or any farm store. I added a flow jet pump on it and wired that to my plug on the truck. Or you can just add a hose and let it be gravity fed. Mine is a 65 gal. and even after a weekend of camping I still have water left over. You can get them in a smaller size. It comes in handy for other things. Worth the investment of you decide to camp more or go to day shows...

Hey blue... If curtains are a pest and difficult to hang...they make privacy window film that would work. It distorts images or doesn't allow out to see in but allows natural light to get to the inside. Think like a bathroom shower door but more distortion. They also make it with designs...
Something to think about, maybe make your life simpler wanting to hit the road and not be the show in the privacy of the trailer interior.
Your project is "looking good!"......

If you know some one that can help you put new brakes on. It isn't that hard to do. But you don't want to run them to much that way or you will start scaring the drums and then you will have to have them turned. Did they pull the drums off to actually look at the brake shoes to see if they needed replacement. Sometimes dirt will get in there and cause them to squeak. Do they do it the whole time your breaking or just when your at a stop and let off of them and then hit them again? I'm assuming you have drums. Newer ones have disc brakes all around.
Either way when towing a trailer the size of what you have. Your brakes on both truck and trailer need to be right on..My last trip from MD back out to MO. My calipers locked up on my truck. If that wasn't a fun thing. It caused the truck to shake badly. Luckily we were close to the same place that replaced trailer tires on a previous trip. They got me back on the road but I need to replace 2 of the rotors...Which I haven't done yet...but I'm not towing as much now. Plus we use Lint's truck most of the time.

How exciting for you to finally get the trailer and start doing the inside . looks nice so far. do not forget to get a tool box handy. you need one in case something happens. and make sure it stays in the camper so it doesn't get used someplace else and forgotten to be put back.
and of course you will need to hit tag sales for kitchen stuff. what fun and good luck camper

While they were doin my oil change i have them check my brakes cuz they did my front brakes and i keep hearing the squeak all the time. So i gotta get some of my savings out to pay for it. Im not stressing im just mad i didnt bring my truck in sooner. They say im in the red but they havent hit anything near the disks so they think they might be able to just flip them but they dont know 100% cuz they guy checking me out wasnt the one who did my oil change. I trust these guys they give me a good deal without ripping me off or giving me shit just cuz im a woman.... and they arent afraid of showing they are christians. So far im almost done with the trailer just got final touches to do.

Squeak could be the calipers, not the brake shoes

I'm the nay sayer......
Could also be the wear bar making the warning sound of you're getting close, real close to damaging the surface of your drum or rotor. Drums & rotors by law must be within a specified measurement to be legal to be on a vehicle. If they get more than a very minimal cut that could affect your being within those #'s.
See what they say when they tear it apart.... Remember you will be soon pulling a horse trailer with Blue on it...you want your brakes and truck in tip-top condition for the safest and least hassle trailering experience you can have.
Sometimes that $400 brake job...worth millions in peace of mind having it done.
Sorry guys, hubby is a mechanic and we had our own business for many years. I learned quite a bit, enough to have "dangerous knowledge" as I call it, not enough to fix it myself all the time, yet enough when I go with my mom to the car dealer with her car and tell them I want to see and the proof it needed done they have a near heart attack!! Especially when I opened the hood the one time and the parts they said they put on...were dirty and not replaced! Last time she went there. I turned them into the state authorities after I took the photo proof with the repair bill paid and mechanic standing next to the car and the work questioned clearly not done...illegal!!
Blue,....you trust your mechanic at the shop you went to? Have had dealings with them in the past? No bad experiences with their work??? Were treated fairly, questions answered so you understood if you asked? If you answered "YES" to all of them, ... trust them to do what is right for that truck and to keep you safe, road worthy and break-down free on the road.

A good friend of mine that i rarely see is coming to get the parts and he will do the labor for free..... well as long as i give him a big meal which usually ends up being him eating the whole pan of my famous tater tot hotdish. So while im gone this weekend at a friends he will be workin on it. So itl be about half of what i what planning on spending....So happy!!!!!!! Now to keep planning my two trips!!!!! Thank you horselover for your input....what you said was right on, Its just near the rotar i have about 2mm left on the pad before i hit the rotar. So its a prewarning noise as i call it. And it may be sounding like im freaking out but im not just letting people know whats going on... im not upset that the brakes are going out or the cost im just upset with myself for not fixing the problem sooner.

Blue.... don't beat yourself up over this. You have done nothing wrong and have caused no damage is you still have "meat" on the pad left {that 2 mm}. You are doing your brakes now as they have worn to a level that needs attention...if done a while ago you would of been throwing money away because it wasn't time. Glad to hear you have a friend who is a qualified mechanically inclined person who can complete the repair for you, saving quite a bit of $$ for you. That dinner...if you want to share I would love to see the recipe here in the Campfire Grill section...I'm always looking for something new to try that came with a recommendation of "Good Eats!"... smileys-home-510691
